Our carnival queen candidate this year was demure, blue-eyed, brown-haired Carole Bertz, with Kenny Degenhardt at her side as king. And say!! Did you see the imposing array of classmen on the basketball line-up this season? Of course, all we got was consolation in the class tournament. We are now ready to take our places as Juniors of next year. We have attained this lofty height through the guidance of our class ad- visor, Mr. Lawrenz. I

Our embitiousness was shown in the carnival queen contest when our candidates, Norma Foelske and Lyle Voight, lost the throne by only a few votes.
