Norrix football team, once considered a pushover, fought back this year. The team beat Flint Bendle, Battle Creek Lakeview, and Niles, their First league victory. Spectators and players alike will remember: the two touchdowns in the fourth quarter which almost tied the Portage game, the Lansing Everett game where statistically the gridmen carried the ball farther and the vic- tory over Flint Bendle, which set a scoring record at Norrix and was our first afternoon game. Elected to the Big Five Conference Team were: Wes Carpenter, Don Sanderson, Doug Brigham, and Dick Amsbury, who also made first team All-City. Don Sanderson. and Wes Carpenter were elected to second team All-City. At the Fall Banquet Kirby Smith was elected Most Improvedng John McNally c'Most Valuableng and Mike Sweet Best Attitudefl Captains ,W for the next year are Torn Haynes and Roger Decker. Exhausted on-lookers watch action tensely.
