However, their work was not confined to the school, for several of the girls also did volunteer work at Bronson Hospital once a week through the year. This has been a worth while training for their future years in nursing. Sponsor for the club is Miss Virginia Allen, School Nurse. Miss Allen demonstrates first aid to Gayle Lawler. 40

Highlights of the club's year were its rocket Blast Offn Hoat in Homecoming, Halloween party, and two teas - one for Norrix students inter- ested in teaching, the other for all ninth grade stu- dents coming to Norrix next year interested in the Future Teachers of America. Mr. Wilbur Ensfield drives the F.T.A. Blast Off rocket in the Homecoming parade.
