Highlights of the club's year were its rocket Blast Offn Hoat in Homecoming, Halloween party, and two teas - one for Norrix students inter- ested in teaching, the other for all ninth grade stu- dents coming to Norrix next year interested in the Future Teachers of America. l German cities become alive through the interest of German Club members, such as Rose Timkovich. German Club has been active this year in raising money for a foreign exchange student. To help sponsor this they had a paper drive and a car wash. The club also found time to design a snow sculpture which won Hrst place during bas- ketball homecoming week. A German dinner was held in the spring. Panse, Ann Ward, SECOND ROW: Susie Green, Bonnie CLUBS SHOW As a part of their active interest in the school, the Future Nurses Club spon- sored candy sales during the year. However, their work was not confined to the school, for several of the girls also did volunteer work at Bronson Hospital once a week through the year. This has been a worth while training for their future years in nursing. Sponsor for the club is Miss Virginia Allen, School Nurse. Miss Allen demonstrates first aid to Gayle Lawler. 40
