, STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICERS, l. to r.: Charles Sturtevant, Vice President, William Sanderson, Treasurer, Leonard Pratt, President, Martin Mullen, Parliamentarian. FRONT: Lucille Kline, Secretary. TUDE TEXEC TIVE BRA CH Among the new and varying activities of the Student Council was the more effective organization of the Executive Council, directed by Leonard Pratt, Presi- dent. This administrative body of the council worked under a secretary system where one person was as- signed to a job as opposed to the committee plan previously used. Other advancements made by the Council this year: a vast anti-litter campaign which included signs and catchy trash barrels for the halls, poster regulations which were organized through Art Club to keep high quality posters throughout the school, a more effi- cient exchange student program which included not only a student sponsored by Norrix, but next year's project of sending a Norris student abroad. A new school song was selected by the Council, and the Constitution was amended. This year's Council has strengthened the position and prestige of our student government and made it bet- ter than ever.
