The antics of the Gooney birds were enough to keep us amused for the time we were in their domain. They walk around as if they own the island, and they might as well since they are well protected, Even the hottest Midway hot-rodders always stopped when aGooney bird crossed the road, and they took their own sweet time about it. To watch one spread his wings, take off with a run and tumble head over heels, only to do it over again until it was airborne left us in stitches.
