FUTORIAN 1969 a n d the LAST SENIOR HIGH CLASS This 1969 Yearbook will be a lasting record of the superior quality and wide range of activities which have characterized your fine Lowrey High School. It is a book of many faces that expresses the eagerness and satisfaction which comes to those who possess a strong desire to grow mentally, physi- cally, socially and morally. To you has come the singular privilege of sharing the traditions of all graduates before you, while at the same time you must rest your benedic- tions on the last year of Lowrey Senior High School. As Seniors, you are completing three of the most important, and what should also be the happiest years of your life. Twenty-one Senior High graduating classes have experienced this. Lowrey High School graduated its first Senior High Class in 1949 and now graduates its last Senior High Class in 1969. Lowrey High School has served as a Senior High School for a number of school districts outside of the City of Dearborn including: Garden City, Cooper, Fairlane, Dearborn Heights, Wallaceville and Taylor Township. This 1969 Yearbook, therefore, is the last. I know you will treasure it among your choicest souvenirs. Dr. Simon E. Babel, Principal

THE ADMINISTRATION Dr. Babel has been the principal for only two years at Lowrey High. He has shown true concern and understanding for student prob- lems. Lowrey High School students welcomed Robert J. Fcdoruk as their new assistant principal in charge of student affairs. With the help of Mrs. Steele, problems are met and dealt with efficiently. As in the past, the school admin- istration provides the students with experienced guidance. The offices, as well as the counselor’s offices, are not only a place to take school problems, but also provide training grounds for many co-operative training students. 4
