A R Wetzel, Superintendent of Lowpoint Washburn Com unity Unit No 7 was born at Macomb, Illinois He attended Western State Teachers College where he received his B A and was a member of Kappa Delta P1 Wetzel also attended the University of Illi nois where he received his M A , worked on his Ph D and was a member of the Phi Delta Kappa Before coming here in 1953, Mr Wetzel was a high school teacher, principal, coach, and had served as a unit superintendent at various schools for nine years He has a Life State Supervisory Certificate given him by the State of Illinois Besides teaching, Mr Hetzel served in World War I and is a member of various educational and community organize tions Glen H Jones, the principal of Lowpoint Washburn High School, was born in Bartonville, Illinois He completed his high school edu cation at Peoria Manual High School Upon graduation from high school, Hr. Jones served in the Navy for four years aboard a destroyer. He attended Bradley University, where he re- ceived his B.S. and M.A. He is now working on his Ph.D. His previous teaching experience has con- sisted of: coach and teacher at Bartonville, Illinois, and principal at Washburn Grade School.
