We were surprxsed to learn that two of our other classmates Irma Dell Schwartz and Eldon Smder were present 1n the audlence We 1nv1ted them to our table and learned that Eldon was m Nautxcal Heaven termed the Navy a was sa1l1ng peacefully through fleecy clouds everyday ln contact wlth h1s work that of trymg to locate the Shootmg Star In her quiet manner Irma Dell told us that through her arduous labors m Commercial Classes at W T H S she was rewarded w1th a wonderful Job Heaven It was that of be1ng a prwate secretary to Elmont Ollver now a famous Ladder Buxlder to Heaven and one of the rlchest celestial bemgs Irma Dell sald that she was now takmg d1ctat1on at the rate of 350 words a rrunute 'beheve lt or not In the course of our conversatlon jerry mformed us of hls great suc cess 1n dlrectmg h1s large sail boats over the f1lmy surface Glancmg at my hour glass I knew It was t1me for me to leave thls charnung foursome and fmd a place to stay for the mght I hurned back to my Maglc Carpet and Melvm suggested a hotel across the street named Eternal Rest Haven I was about to reg1ster m this hotel when glanczng up at the room clerk whom d1d I recognize but the theatrlcal Duane Haney He began tellmg me that he was sent to Heaven by mlstake and he d1dn t know what was gomg to hapnen h1m He told me he was makmg good as a movlc extra m Hollywood U S A but then someone became Jealous and ordered hun to leave the good Earth He sa1d that few people realize It but all those leavmg Hollywood surely deserve Heaven The mght was very beautlful havmg regxstered Ideczded to walk out onto the hotel veranda and slt and remuusce and stop to real1ze how wonderful thls tr1p had been and how much xt had meant to me just then someone tactfully pardoned her presence on the veranda and now I was meetlng our own Paulme Re1ger Paullne had been hangmg out the moon and stars and damtly arrangmg dzllgent and falthful study of U S H1story 111 V1 T H S ln 194-7' Now xt was time to retlre I went to my room and I kneavi had had much luck that day m fmdmg ten of my former chassmates and I hoped to fmd he remamlng f1ve ux themornmg I arose early and got on my Maglc Way telung Melvm I must have new pa1r of wings Mme were gettmg too heavy wxth the fly ng sxlver and gold dust 1n the air He took me to Sweet justxce Heaven telling me the largest stores m Heaven are m that clty He also told me that best store was The Golden Hour where I would be able to have a beautxful palr made ln a short t1me Upon arr1vmg I was greeted at the door by a beautlful lady I took the second look and who should It be but Betty Ann Peabody, now an adv1sor beautxful and permanent wmgs She sald she had always set her alms hlgh but was surprlsed when she reahzed the goal was won I also learned that Elmont Ollver was m the store havlng a busmess conference wlth the Angels Betty told me to walt for hun 1f I would care to see h1m I had no sooner sald yes than Elrnont now a large man, came strollmg out of the mner offlce carrymg golden cane studded wlth glunmermg dlamonds He told me he had trxed hard on Earth , thereby gamlng entrance and riches m Heaven Havlng bade mont and Betty farewell I journeyed onward v1a the Mllky Way Route t e Pot O Gold Farms I was enjoyxng the r1de when I not1ced someone cormng to wards us on another carpet and as he salled by I recogmzed hun as Wallace K1zer I told Melvln to reverse the Carpet so -.ve could talk wlth Wallace He I n 1 ----I ll il nd . . , . . , o Cl a Il . .
