434' 'f Q7 Q7 UTOPIA Being employed by the Atomic Magic Carpet Company in Molecules U S A I had the opportunity of seeking my Senior Classmates After thinking it over I decided to have my first stop at Heaven I thought certainly I would find a few of the fifteen inside the Pearly Gates Upon arriving at the Gates I was greeted by my old high school prmci pal Mr W E Herbster waving a beautiful silver sceptre I told him I was mterested in knowing the whereabouts of the Senior Class that graduates in one thousand nine hundred forty seven He told me a guide would take me through Heaven on my Magic Carpet Mr Herbster rang a golden bell and who should answer h1s command but a man with black hair beautiful silver wings and halo He was to my surprise Melvin Winkler who told me that he had gained Heaven because he studied so hard in high school While chatting with Melvin I asked him 1f he knew where any more of our classmates were Yes, he knew that Rachel Ann Thompson lived in Angel Town, Heaven I told him to take me there but first I needed air under my Carpet Upon stopping at a filling statlon I found that jack Telfer was the attendant He didn t have a dot of dust on his fllmy wings He told me he was operating a filling station back in U S A Where he had 1nflated many tires and one morning had awakened and found himself sald we would soon reach Angel Town where Rachel lives on the corner of Peace ard Happiness I stepped up and knocked Rachel came to the door with tears 1n her eyes saying she was the only one just a little sad in Heaven and only because baby Johnnie had golden locks instead of her dreamed of black tresses She invited me in for sweet cakes and tea and as we sat talking a knock on the door was heard and who should be there but Audrey Nurse, the visiting nurse of An g l Town makmg her daily rounds to see that everyone was happy' She said she couldn t stay long as she had several other calls to make and she told me it would be worth my time to v1s1t Doris Laible who was living on the Pelz Pot O Gold Farms I thanked her and she magically disappeared Noticmg e time by my hour glass I knew I must be sailing onward Having arrived at the next town of Fairiesville I noticed a large parade being led by an admiral in a Chariot waving his white gloved hand Instantly I knew xt was jerry Ireland I told Melvin I must see him so we flew low and the parade came to Rainbow End we stopped I told jerry I would like to talk over old times so he suggested dinner at the new restaurant Star Dust Inn, where Wesley Held was the featured s1nger Ithought that a fine suggest1on,and Melvin took us over on the Magic Carpet We ordered dinner of White Cloud Souffle but I was anxiously awaiting amidst the playing of the harps and sang the beautiful and imma :tal A Perfect Day From the applause that arose from our table, Wesley knew W T H S was represented there He greeted us and told us of his singing with Sammy Kays Orchestra in the U S.A and that one night a swing and sway number carried him straight into Heaven.
