AY EJCPEIZJEN-CES ADD UP Freedom and responsibility are symbolized in the flag that hangs in most classrooms at Lowndes. This freedom is balanced with responsibility assumed by almost all students as they meet, mingle, and move purposely from class to class. When that responsibility slides, the authority of rules, adminis- tered by those who share the human condition, must and does restore order out of threatened chaos, rr1an's persistent enemy, It is these experiences represented by the buying of supplies at the bookstore and obeying the directions to move on to class that help students grow from day to day, 4

ml, , I AM A PAIZTOF ALLTI-WTI HAVE MET' - The theme of the 1971 Munin and of all educa- tion is that everyone is the sum of his experiences, Besides the many vicarious experiences that a high school student meets in books, there are the all important social relationships that also teach. When class election day comes, electioneering students discover they have to be elected. Mitchell Chaney frightj, Student Council president, checks the student registration list. Other students who have been physically affected by those they have met across the scrimmage line are the famed Lowndes Vikings shown here at football camp before the '70-'71 season opened. Below, some members of the Studenyt Coordin- ation Committee give the peace sign that symbolizes their success in easing strained relations that occur in any vibrant social situation.
