Gs 4 xx , I if L N -X c. - 8- 9-, v- SENIOR CLASS HISTORY By Jeanette Knight On August 19, 1946, the freshman class started out with forty five pupils on our climb up the ladder of learning Our class officers for that year were Raymond L Wyatt, president, Glen Boyd Sears, vice president, Carolyn Carter, secretary and treasurer, and Wayne Sanderson, class report Our class was under the sponsorship of Mrs Doris Wil kins In the famous 'Queen Contestn our contestant, Marian Lowe, ran a close second to the senior, Betty Goatley We entered our sophomore year with several new faces and to learn that we had lost quite a few of our old ones W had an enrollment of twenty nine We enjoyed one of our best years of school this year We had Marian Lowe and Nan cy Duncan chosen for cheerleaders out of our class Pat Gregory ran as our queen contestant against senior, Linnie Jo Davidson Our class officers for the year were Charles Wyatt, president, Raymond Wyatt, vice president, Pat Greg ory, secretary and treasurer Our sponsor was Mrs Imogene Monroe When we entered school in our junior year, we missed a few old faces We felt we had the largest job of our school gave a very nice and successful banquet for the seniors at the Irving Cobb Hotel in Paducah under the sponsorship of Mrs Imogene Monroe Our class play for the year was NMa ma's Baby Boy' which we thought was very good as it was our first play Our class officers for the year were Raymond Wyatt, president, Glen Sears, vice president, Claydean Dav idson, secretary, and Carolyn Carter, treasurer. In August, 1949, as seniors we entered with a new dignity befitting our classification Our number this year was twenty five Our class officers were Charles Wyatt, pres ident, Raymond Wyatt, vice president, Claydean Davidson, secretary, and Nancy Duncan, treasurer The plays we gave were 'Comin' Round The Mountainn and nRich For A Day The class was very proud of the success which we had with them When we had completed the '50 annual, we knew we had com pleted one of the largest jobs the seniors had to do, but we engoyed making the annual Lowes High School will suffer greatly the loss of several basketball stars, several faithful voices in the chorus, several dependable and indispensable helpers in various de partments and twenty five of the biggest eaters that ever patronized the lunch room We will always be grateful to our parents and teachers for helping us to arrive at this Junction of our education era e O I . Mr. James E. Wilkins was assigned the job of home- room teacher for those dear little children. After the con- fusion had settled a bit we got down to business and held the first business meeting of our high school life. We elected Nancy Wyman, president, James Earl Rhew, vice-pres1- dentg June Sears, secretary and treasurer, and Ann Record, reporter.
