Supervising Principal KERMIT M. STOVER, B.S., M.Ed Lock Haven S.T.C. Duke University University of Wisconsin Pennsylvania State University I am delighted to extend congratulations to the members of the 1955 graduating class of the Lower Paxton Township High School. You have discharged your responsibilities as citizens of your high school, through scholastic and school activity experiences, in a com- mendable manner. You have made a contribution to the development of the new Central Dauphin High School in supporting and in plan- ning its organization for the 1955-56 school term. You have partici- pated in a number of other school programs which have resulted in improving your school and in developing socially competent individuals. As you continue to maintain this sense of responsibility as a citizen in the community without fear of the tomorrow but with faith in yourself, faith in the institutions of this country, and faith in God, the future of your life, your community, and your country will become increasingly optimistic and prosperous. My best wishes go to each one of you. KERMIT M. STOVER, Supervising Principal Central Dauphin Joint Schools I8

Guidance Counselor . . Jour: F. CURRAN, B.S., M.Psy. Temple University West Chester S.T.C. University of Wisconsin University of Scranton Our senior year has been more valuable because of the addition of a full-time Guidance Counselor to the faculty staff. Mr. John F. Curran, has been with us for nine years and he has guided us in many ways, during our high school days. Due to the experience he gained as a teacher, and advisor of classes 'S50 and 54 , the newspaper and the Hi-Y Club, Mr. Curran proved a great asset to Lower Paxton. We will probably partly remember Mr. Curran as a human dynamo, an inspiration to any student. Yet, his classes never suffered for his interest extra-curricular activities, and he was never too busy to help a troubled student with a personal problem. Everyone who has come in contact with him has grown to love and respect him. Making Mr. Curran Guidance Counselor of Lower Paxton High School was a fine blessing for the entire school. Now he is relieved of his regular teaching activities and he can devote his full time to counseling, mainly helping high school students find themselves, steering them and planning with them for their days ahead. 20
