JENNIE MAY REAHM Commercial Feasterville One of Germantown High's best workers and nicest students joined us in her junior year to become, in her senior year, the able business manager of our Elmleo. Class sports were also Cinny's pleasure, as were swimming and skating. Ginny's interest in home decorating will be put to good use soon we understand. Our best wishes for the future go with Ginnyl ROBERT ROGERS General Trevose Heights This is the man who usually had charge of the 'record department , providing us with music both sweet and hot as the occasion demanded. His interest in music extended to the Penndel String Band of which he was an active member. For clubs, Rog chose Typing and Science. Although we usually found him on the quiet side, we enjoyed his humor and approved his spare time pursuits - swimming and fishing. FRED G. SEGANTI, JR . General Feasterville Fritz put sports at the head of his likes - and we can see why. He was a varsity football player for four years, a member of the varsity basket- ball squad, and team member of all class sports. In keeping with that fine record and his sport interest, Fred selected Hunting and Fishing Club all through high school. Automobiles, too, seem to have a special fascination for Fritz. We predict a bright and happy future for this popular friend of ours. -.1-. 14 1,11 ,,.s k, f5,g,l.,,.:: .4 -ik. J - ri K. ' ' ' , .N .sigh i, R .iq CHARLES E. SHAFER Academic Rockledge 'Corky' was friendly and well-liked by all- but that's just the beginning because he was active and able as well in a variety of things. These included varsity football, basketball, Hi-Y and Hunting 8: Fishing clubs, with dancing and model trains as his out-of-school interests. No wonder Charlie found little time for French! Charlie will find many more good times and success as he goes along through life.

JOANNE HELEN McKEOWN Commercial Bethayres Althouigh Joanne joined us rather late in her high school career, she waste no time in becoming an active member of the Safety Club, Elmleo Staff, and the Lion's Roar. Her athletic interests were in class volleyball, basketball, and at Notre Dame, varsity softball for two years. As with many of our classmates, Joanne's plans for the future are indefinite but we can guarantee success. E V E L Y N O N S A Academic Bryn Athyn There's something special about Evelyn - a quality all her own. lt could be the sparkle in her eye as she 'concocts' one of her original ideas or the witty comments she makes or even the questions she asks so demurely. There's something special, too, in her service to the school - Student Council Qfour yearsl, Lion's Roar work, varsity hockey- and basketball, and editor of the Elmleo. There couldn't be apything but an especially happy future for this popular classmate o ours. JOAN EILEEN PLATTS Commercial Feasterville A friendly, ready smile - and often an accompanying contagious giggle - brought many friends Joan's way and brightened an otherwise dull day for many of her classmates. Typing, Home-Nursing, and Clee clubs found in her an active, able member. With her love of movies, aniusement parks, and fun in general, naturally Joan didn't look with favor upon homework. Her plans? She thinks office work will be the thing. RICHARD W. PLETCHER General Betbayres A winning smile, dimples, and a friendly 'hello' make a good combi- nation - Rich's combination. Science and lli-Y made up Hiclfs club combination, while discussion of hot-rods and cars in general occupied much of his talk and thoughts. Rich feels certain that the Navy will be the next step after graduation. We hope there will be smooth sailing for Rich in that career and in any others to follow.

F R A N K S 0 R AC E General Huntingdon Valley We'll always remember with pleasure Frank's friendly nature, his contagious grin, and his willingness to help his class and classmates. Frank played intramural football, basketball, and softball with zip and ability. His interest in guns naturally led him to choose Hunting and Fishing Club first, but the Chorus and Elmleo staff also received his help. 'l'here's a real place in the future for Frank. CATHERINE ESTHER SPERLING Academic Trevose Heights Being a helpful, willing worker for her class Qremember all those dance and homeroom decorations?D made Cathy a valued friend and classmate. Her activities included Safety Club Gil and all intramurals for the four years, including the speedball championship game. In her lighter moments, Cathy chooses dancing and skating. For a career, nursing is her current choice. MARIE LAUREL SPONHEIMER Commercial Rockledge We welcomed Dukie in her junior year when she came to L.M. from South Philadelphia High. The Lion's Roar ha benefited by her efficient typing ever since and we have enjoyed her friendly, cheerful ways. Marie has many hobbies and interests - home decorating, crocheting, and collecting pictures. In her future work as a telephone operator, hers will really be the 'voice with a smile'. ' va 1 A e , or eee it L. prr 1 at DOROTHY E. STAUDENMAYER Commercial Trevose Heights Among other honors, Dot received two highly coveted 'posts' in her senior year - voted the Most Popular girl by her class and chosen May Queen by the student body. For three years Dot represented her class in the May Queens court and also for three years she was one of our peppy cheerleaders. Varsity hockey and basketball, Lion's Roar staff, Glee and Safety clubs made up her other activities. We will miss Dot and her cheerful disposition.
