ELLEN T. MARCERISON Commercial Rockledge Ellen was voted by the seniors as the nicest looking girl in their class - and with good reason. She didn't believe that 'beauty is its own excuse for being', however, for her activities were many - literary editor of the yearbook, Lion's Roar reporter, Clee Club, class basket- ball aud volleyball, and the honor of being a May Queen attendant for two years and maid of honor in her senior year. Sociable Ellen enjoys going places and seeing things. We wish her well in her future secretarial work. ANET ELLEN MARSHALL J Academic Trevose Heights We think of Janet as another one of our real workers, for she was ever ready to help in our class activities and sports. Varsity hockey and intramurals kept her busy when she wasn't already occupied with the work of the Lion's Roar, Safety and Typing clubs. Dancing, music, sewing, and skating occupy her few leisure moments. Good luck to our popular friend. A LIC E M A Y E H Commercial Rockledge Alice did things in a quiet, efficient way that won ber the reputation of being one of our more reliable, serious workers - which she was. For relaxation and fun, Alice's first choice is dancing, closely followed by listening to her record collection or seeing a good movie. Her club membership was in the Typing, Home Nursing, and Chorus groups. We can be assured of Alice's success in secretarial work. KENNETH McCAW Academic Huntingdon Valley Ever since Kenny came to L.M. in his sophomore year, 'Ken McCaw and 'basketball' have been synonymous. Kenny won his letters that year and has been one of the main stays of the varsity squad ever since. Cartooning is another talent of Kenny's and we've enjoyed many a laugh with him about his 'originals' - iwitness the yearbook caricaturesl. The future holds excitement for this quick, witty, daring classmate of ours.

HERBERT LANGE Academic Rockledge Herb was the envy of many, chiefly because of his neat, handsome appearance and his way with the fair sex, but his talents and interests weren't limited to things sociable. Herb belonged to the Lion's Roar, Chorus, Hi-Y Club, yearbook business staff, and played intramurals. Farming and Fords are Herb's other interests. We're wondering where they will fit into the Navy career Herb is planning. SARAH MAY LAPIHUSKA Academic R ockledge Sally kept busy in many important ways - as a member of the varsity basketball team, art staff of the yearbook, and typist for the Lion's Roar. Class sports and Art Club were a few of her other school activities plus the duties her academic schedule involved. If you ever are hospitalized, we hope you'll be lucky enough to have Sally as your nurse. KARL D. LIEBOLD General Bethayres Karl is another member of our class whose interest is in the U.S. Navy, and if the Navy appreciates Karl as we do, the interest will be mutual. His chief interest was in the Science Club, but baseball and basketball also claimed him as a squad member. We hope for a happy future for this tall, blonde, pleasant classmate of ours. EDWARD LISS, JR. Academic Rockledge Ed's variety of talents brought him into many phases of school life and work. Varsity football C3l, basketball CD, and class sports gave him a chance to prove his athletic ability, while his artistic talents were put to good use in his work as art editor of the yearbook. He was vice- president of Hunting and Fishing and a member of Hi-Y. The girls especially will remember 'Junie s' smooth dancing. With Ed's dis- position, we rather expect the future sailing to be smooth, too.

JOANNE HELEN McKEOWN Commercial Bethayres Althouigh Joanne joined us rather late in her high school career, she waste no time in becoming an active member of the Safety Club, Elmleo Staff, and the Lion's Roar. Her athletic interests were in class volleyball, basketball, and at Notre Dame, varsity softball for two years. As with many of our classmates, Joanne's plans for the future are indefinite but we can guarantee success. E V E L Y N O N S A Academic Bryn Athyn There's something special about Evelyn - a quality all her own. lt could be the sparkle in her eye as she 'concocts' one of her original ideas or the witty comments she makes or even the questions she asks so demurely. There's something special, too, in her service to the school - Student Council Qfour yearsl, Lion's Roar work, varsity hockey- and basketball, and editor of the Elmleo. There couldn't be apything but an especially happy future for this popular classmate o ours. JOAN EILEEN PLATTS Commercial Feasterville A friendly, ready smile - and often an accompanying contagious giggle - brought many friends Joan's way and brightened an otherwise dull day for many of her classmates. Typing, Home-Nursing, and Clee clubs found in her an active, able member. With her love of movies, aniusement parks, and fun in general, naturally Joan didn't look with favor upon homework. Her plans? She thinks office work will be the thing. RICHARD W. PLETCHER General Betbayres A winning smile, dimples, and a friendly 'hello' make a good combi- nation - Rich's combination. Science and lli-Y made up Hiclfs club combination, while discussion of hot-rods and cars in general occupied much of his talk and thoughts. Rich feels certain that the Navy will be the next step after graduation. We hope there will be smooth sailing for Rich in that career and in any others to follow.
