WALTER R. JOHNSON, JR. General Feasterville Walt's philosophy seems to he 'live and let live' so long as cars and baseball are included. As a varsity baseball player for three years, he pitched many a victorious game and served the varsity basketball team as well. Hunting and Fishing, with Hi-Y, was his club preference. Professional baseball is in Walt's future if his hopes come true. F R E D H U S T E R Academic Rockledge Fred is the quiet kind of fellow who seems to wait for just the right time to add a witty or encouraging word. His friends know they can count on Fred for either. As an original member of the Hunting and Fishing club, he has done much to boost its popularity and value. Fred has reached no definite decision about his future, but we are assured his choice will be a well-considered one. WILLIAM JONES Academic Bethayres That worried frown you might have seen on a few occasions probably came from the weighty problems and countless duties Bill had as our class president for three years - a real record. Student Council, Science, Hunting and Fishing, yearbook work, and managing basketball also came in for their share of Bill's attention. In things mechanical and electric Bill has excelled and has always been a busy man with his out-of-school 'obs. We have good reason for thinking that Bill is l headed for success. HITA ELIZABETH KELLY Commercial Feasterville Rita has so many interests, she finds it difficult to make a decision in some matters. One burning question is 'Should I become a WAC ?' We can't settle Hit's problem for her but feel sure she will find a satis- factory solution. Is there anything from your experience in I..ion's Roar and Safety clubs or through your interest in skating and music that would help, Rita?

PEGCIE L. IPIAHN Commercial Trevose Heights When Peggy came to us this year from Germantown, she got right into the swin-g of things by joining the Lion's Roar staff and lending a helping hand in our class activities. Although we have known Peggy for such a short time, we do know that dancing, sports, and cooking are her special interests and that her pleasant personality has won her many friends. RICHARD HEARING Academic Huntingdon Valley On the football field and in our class activities, we always found Rich a valuable asset. He is an all-around good sport who has always been one of the real workers in our class. His fine work on the varsity football squad and on the business staff of the yearbook is proof of his sincere interest and ability. We look for nothing but success for Rich. He'll make a 'go' of whatever he tackles. EVELYN HENDERSON Academic Trevose Heights Lolly is a real friend and an all-around classmate, willing to help in so many school and class activities. Intramurals, Lion's Roar, Safety, Typing, and Glee clubs, and tireless decorating for class dances - through all these and more, Lolly kept her sunny smile. That plus her determined spirit should bring Lolly all the happiness she deserves. i' I B SHIRLIE JEAN HUGHES Commercial Feasterville Voted the most athletic, Shirlie proved that the voters were right - definitely. Varsity hockey f3l and captain in her senior year, basketball f2l, cheerleading, plus all intramurals prove her worth. Non-athletic activities included Tri-Hi-Y, chorus, and Lion's Roar staff. Stock car races, swimming, dancing, and sociable people fill Shirlie's happy days.

BERNARD KEMMERLING Academic Feastefville Bernie has been our very active 'Mr. Photographer' for both the year- book and local papers, trying to get into his many shots some of the highlights of L.M.'s activities. Bernie has also been an active class member, serving well on those inevitable committees, and headed the Safety Patrol this year. Although math and science are Bernie's favorite subjects, he plans to make photography his vocation. K' C A I L K E R R Commercial Rockledge Gail is just about the smallest one in our class, but only in size - definitely not in ability. In her part-time work at Sears, Gail has proved herself a capable, efficient worker. In school, through her work in Safety, Lion's Roar, Arts and Crafts, and yearbook typing she proved her ability again and again.. Gail, with her many interests, will be concentrating on just one upon graduation - being a good private secretary. MARIANNE LENA KOOKE Academic Langhorne Kookie likes people - and they return the compliment. That's easy with Kookie's pleasing personality and warm smile. Hockey and basketball were her varsity sport interests and all the intramurals attracted her. She was a member of Chorus, Spanish and Art clubs and enjoyed photography as a hobby. After graduation Kookie hopes to do some traveling. NITA MARIA KRAUS A C ommercial Feasterville Anita joined us in our junior year when she came from Abraham Lincoln High. We welcomed her as an enthusiastic classmate who promptly became an active one, especially in Lion's Roar work and later in yearbook photography. Our class volleyball team claimed Anita as a member, also. Domestic life, rather than a business career, seems to appeal to Anita. In either, we vouch for a good job well done.
