ROBERT FLACK General Huntingdon Valley Bob has to his credit four years of varsity football and three years of basketball and baseball, which puts him in the top bracket of sports. Extending his interest in athletics, Bob joined the Cym Leadership club and was our Athletic Council representative. Farming or teaching physical education currently appeal to him as vocational possibilities. We know the fine spirit he showed in athletics will help him in his chosen work. KARL FREUND General Rockledge lf you think Karl is quiet, just mention guns or cars and you'll give him a head start on his two favorite subjects. lle has many interesting hunting stories to tell, all from first hand experience. Naturally, Karl was a member of the Hunting and Fishing club. He is fond, too, of going off in his car on unpremeditatedjaunts . If the wanderlust doesn't get too strong a grip on Karl, he'll settle down to do a fine job as a builder. JOAN RUTH FRITSCH Commercial Rockledge A friend in need is a friend ina'eea . Those who know ,loan know how true this is. Basketball was ,Ioan's favorite sportg she was one of its favorite varsity guards for three years and Captain in her Senior Year. Intramural volleyball and softball in addition to Glee, Cheerleading, Tri-Hi-Y, and Safety clubs kept ,Ioan busy and active. In everything Joan showed her sense of fair play and good humor. These are just two of the good qualities that will help ,loan in the business world. wif' ALLEN HALLETT General Huntingdon Valley We'll remember Allen flashing by us lus less fortunate pedestriansl on his motor-bike and waving gaily as he passed. llis ready smile and sense of humor will be remembered, too. Allen was a great reader but when he did talk he usually told us interesting stories of boats and boat races - a fitting background for the Navy career Allen anticipates.

CARL DORSEY General Quiet, reserved, likeable Dorse made quite a record in his three years at L.M. by playing in all class sports and being a member of all the varsity teams. Student Council was an added activity in his senior year. If Carl has plans, he's not revealing them, but we'll know they will succeed. Bethayres 5 ANNAMARIE DIETERLE Academic Rockledge 'Tootsie' has the distinction of being one of the most musicalmembers of our class. To the chorus, orchestra, and band she has given faithful and willing service. To the Lion's Roar and yearbook, Annamarie devoted her literary talent, and on all too few occasions we enjoyed her special dancing talent in assembly programs. The yotmger generation will benefit by Annamarie's interest in music because her hope is to be MARGARET ANNE DUNBAR Academic Rockledge One of our most willing and dependable classmates, Peggy found many jobs to handle. As a senior, she was editor of the Lion's Roar and literary staff member of the yearbook. Safety, Typing, and Library clubs were he h ' . Sh r c oices e also wrote L.M. news for the local papers. XX f NANCY LEE FATKIN Commercial Trevose Nancy joined us in September 1951 from Dobbins Vocational School and from the start we found her to be a friendly, pleasant, likeable person. Nancy was active in basketball and volleyball intramurals and was on the staff of the Lion's Roar. Nancy's love of fun, sharp clothes, dancing, and reading gives variety and spice to her busy life. IPIAHN Commercial Trevose Heights When Peggy came to us this year from Germantown, she got right into the swin-g of things by joining the Lion's Roar staff and lending a helping hand in our class activities. Although we have known Peggy for such a short time, we do know that dancing, sports, and cooking are her special interests and that her pleasant personality has won her many friends. RICHARD HEARING Academic Huntingdon Valley On the football field and in our class activities, we always found Rich a valuable asset. He is an all-around good sport who has always been one of the real workers in our class. His fine work on the varsity football squad and on the business staff of the yearbook is proof of his sincere interest and ability. We look for nothing but success for Rich. He'll make a 'go' of whatever he tackles. EVELYN HENDERSON Academic Trevose Heights Lolly is a real friend and an all-around classmate, willing to help in so many school and class activities. Intramurals, Lion's Roar, Safety, Typing, and Glee clubs, and tireless decorating for class dances - through all these and more, Lolly kept her sunny smile. That plus her determined spirit should bring Lolly all the happiness she deserves. i' I B SHIRLIE JEAN HUGHES Commercial Feasterville Voted the most athletic, Shirlie proved that the voters were right - definitely. Varsity hockey f3l and captain in her senior year, basketball f2l, cheerleading, plus all intramurals prove her worth. Non-athletic activities included Tri-Hi-Y, chorus, and Lion's Roar staff. Stock car races, swimming, dancing, and sociable people fill Shirlie's happy days.
