Joy Grace Thompson Commercial Bethayres Joy is our more talkative twin, sociable, cheerful, and mighty pretty, too. As a member of the Lion's Roar staff, we found her capable of doing some really fine art work. We all know she is a good dancer and also that she loves to skate and cook. It is easy to understand why gossipy people and those who ask too many questions perturb her, for we know she herself is never guilty Sandwiched in be- tween her futtu'e secretarial duties we're sure there will be many new recipes for all sorts of tasty dishes and many more artistic posters and other forms of art work. J une Dorothy Thompson Commercial Bethayres Friendly, attractive and quiet, but always there with a sparkling smile, .T une is our other twin classmate. Being proofreader on the Lion's Roar staff, and a member of our Tri-Hi-Y and Safety Clubs added even more to June's already high credit. She says she likes dramatics and we know that's true because of her part in our senior play, and her hard work to memorize her lines practically overnight when Joy 'ftook sick . Like sister Joy, June finds enjoyment in dancing, skating and more especially in cooking. June's immediate future is also concerned with secretarial work, in the office as in school, we know she'll be quietly efficient and decorative. Mamie Louise Tilghman Commercial Bethayres If you're looking for a cheerful, easy to get along with young lady, you can end your search with one of our favorite school mates, Mamie. Are you looking for a person who can make stylish clothes and one who really enjoys school? That's Mamie again. To go to Virginia State College is her ambition and if she takes to college the loyalty and fine spirit she showed on the varsity hockey team, Virginia State will be mighty glad she enrolled. .RPM Ronald Y. White College Preparatory Huntingdon Valley Having lots of fun and enjoying life is what our Moose wants. I-le didjust this by participating in all class sports, football, basketball, baseball, and soccer, and being active in Hi-Y Qof which he was vice-presidentj and Safety Clubs. Ronnie's likes and interests are those most popular with the fellows in our class-- hot rods, girls, and sports. Dislikes? Liver and P. O. D. Because he can't bear the thought of giving up studying fha! J, Ronnie looks forward to college.

Joseph Salvadore Sorace General Huntingdon Valley A fellow who ranks high scholastically and yet is a true live wire when there is mention of class activity usually finds a real welcome in any crowd. Pasquale, with his contagious grin, was certainly a welcome member in our crowd and school. Joe found special enjoyment in soccer and football, but put forth most of his energy in the Safety, Science, Home Economics, and Glee Clubs. .Toe has set his next goal as graduation from The Williamson School of Mechanical Trades. Those of us who know J'oe's intense interest in all things mechanical, his seriousness of purpose, and his scholastic ability are sure that his goal will be achieved and that Joe will go on always to bigger and better things. We say, Here's to a good fellow! Joan Elinor Spierling Commercial Trevose Heights A real sense of humor, a friendly attitude towards all. and an initiative which is all her own are all a part of Squirrely's pleasing personality. She played hard and with good sportsmanship in intramural basketball and baseball, was a member of the Glee and Safety Clubs, and proved one of our most efficient, and dependable workers on many of our class committees--mainly as one of our play prompters. Her special fancies are sports and dancing plus typing for our Lion's Roar--with the speed and accuracy she shows in most of her work. Squirrely can't stand exams and the preparation before, but is determined to become a good private secretary. Everything points to fulfillment of that ambition. David Leonard Swanson General Trevose Dave, better knovm as Redman , has a good sense of humor and shows everyone that what's usually said about red heads is not true. He served as a loyal and hard-working teammate on the varsity football team and also in all the class sports. Science and Hi-Y Clubs were a few of his activities. Dave has many likes and interests, but his favorite is the fair sex. Dave was always ready for a good laugh, but not so ready for home-work. fwell--who is!J Harry .B. Swanson General Trevose Even though Wobb insists he has been counting the days until graduation, we think he'll really miss school--and us--and we know we'll miss his unexpected wisecracks and friendly ways. In or out of season, football and baseball are the center of Wobb's attention, with hunting filling ln the gaps. Wobb isn't much of a talker so we can't tell you his ambition. We'll just have to wait and see which road to success this quiet friend of ours will follow.
