Frances G. Henderson Academic Langhorne .Tean Val Hasting Commercial Rockledge 'fBut why, teacher? Quiet and obedient as he is, Ruffy, insists uponwhys and wherefores of the subjects he likes best. Maybe that is why he always has a ready answer for all the teachers. When it comes to sports, Ruffy put all his spirit into varsity baseball, but didn't neglect being tops in the class sports. As for his pet interest, we find that nice girls are in the lead with sports coming next. Swimming and tennis are his summer hobbies but all through the year he avoids conceited persons tWho doesn't!J. After graduation between nine and five you'll probably find Ruffy holding down an office job and making a real Ngo of it. Frannie with all her leadership ability has been a great help to our class and school. In the eleventh grade she capably filled the position of manager of the basketball team, and as president of our class that same year, she did exceedingly well. Red Tape is just a name to Frannie who doesn't let things keep her from her objective. Glee and Safety were her two main club interests, and she was a capable member of both the Lion's Roar and yearbook staffs. When the girls need- ed advice on how to cut a dress pattern or how to do the latest dance step, Frannie was their answer. Most of Frannie's ideas about the future seem to center in a home of her own. Fred M. Herwig General Huntingdon Valley Somehow he stands out wherever he is. Maybe it's because of his catching sense of humor and the wlse cracks he has ready at a minute's notice, or maybe it's because of his fine posture, Butch possessed good basketball ability and was also a really fine tackle on the varsity football team. Whenever we needed proper- ties for our class plays, Fred was there with his Ford ready to 'fget things rolling . The foremost of his likes are cars and hunting. His chosen work has already been decided upon a.nd that is carpentry. Here's to bigger and better homes--by Herwlg. Daniel Hess College Preparatory Feasterville Stan the Man , as most of us call this easy-going classmate of ours, seems to contradict himself occasionally. He claims he doesn't like work and looks for- ward to loafing. How is it then that he's one of our best math pupils, and well on his way to being a good business man? He also claims he's not interested in the girls. How is it then he is in such great demand at social gatherings? Check with Dan for these answers, but don't expect the right one fthe first time, anywayl. When Dan was able to tear himself away from his' studies, he was on hand at Science, Safety and Typing Clubs, or on the baseball diamond.

Albert Theodore Gindhart General Feasterville Some fellows seem to have everything--good looks, pleasing personality, and ability. Ginny has all these as well as a fun-loving disposition, irresistible smile, and plenty of energy for getting things done. These qualities came to light in many activities--in the fine brand of varsity football Ginny displayed, in class sports, as exchange editor of the Lion's Roar, as vice-president of the senior class, as pub- licity man for Safety and Hi-YClubs, and particularly in the thorough job of assemb- ling photographs for the yearbook. We're well satisfied with Ginny's choice of a career as a salesman because we know that, as in all he will undertake,he has what it takes to be tops . she is, she'll be having a wonderful time. Richard Alfred Guthrie you are attempting to evade the law. James Dale Hadsell Commercial Meadowbrook Monk is a versatile fellow with interests, fads, and fancies ranging from swimming to pinochle and joy riding. Glee and Science Clubs caught his interest throughout high school but it was a different story with clerical practice. We're not sure we can ever convince Monk that life is a serious matter, but we are sure he'll come through in what he chooses to do. Clementine A. Giovannangelo Commercial Bethayres Sports-loving Clem achieved a wonderful record in athletics being captain ' of the 1950 championship hockey squad, a fast forward on the varsity basket ball team, and playing in all class intramurals. The Glee Club and Safety Patrol benefited by Clem's membership. Dancing, cowboy music and home making these Clem claims are her hobbies, but no matter what Clem s doing or where General Trevose Rich, with another more familiar nickname that was censored because it was a bit too undignified, has an imposing list of fine qualities friendliness loyalty sense of humor, and a good disposition. As president of the Safety Club and captain of the 1950 baseball team Rich added leadership to his positive qualities he was also a member of the Glee and Science Clubs. Hunting land taking a vacation from school routine?l is one of his favorite 'fextra-curricular activities If Rich achieves his ambition, you may meet him on the beat one of these days when

Joseph Fred Hesson General Feasterville Joe, who came to us from Mastbaum in his junior year, has many interests and hobbies. He took part in softball intramurals and football, was a member of Hi-Y and Science Clubs, and intends some day to join the Navy. Naturally, .Toe has his lighter moments, but when the subject is photography, he is all business YNQBSH '25 fx .17 C C ft. ' aa Ralph Henry Hofmann College Preparatory Rockledge Henry's inclinations and talents point to a career in science. The girls aren't so sure that Henry's special little wink is strictly scientific, but if gl-BIS 1'6- sults in good formula fashion. When you read of his activities here you'll soon see why he was voted most studious and most likely to succeed: class sports, one year of varsity football, photography staff of yearbook, Science, Typing, and Hi-Y Clubs, and fwe're saving the best 'til lastl--vice-president of Student Council in his junior year, followed by the presidency in his senior. You see now how that vote came about? Leonard Holmquist Academic Rockledge When its fishing, trapping, or presiding as president of the Hunting and Fish- ing Club this out-door sports lover of ours is dead serious--as he was in his work with the Hi-Y and Science Clubs. But there's another side to this unpredictable friend of ours--a much lighter side that keeps the girls guessing, and his pals in high good humor. Dutch really has a way with him--the kind of way we admire and envy. His ambition? He's headed for college to prepare for food technology. Eleanor Hyndman Commercial Feasterville Here and there--into this and into that-- acheery word to one andall--that's El. To boil down some of El's activities, we have her listed as one of the feature writers of Lion's Roar, literary editor of the yearbook, varsity hockey and junior varsity basketball team member, and a member of Tri-Hi-Y and Glee Clubs. El says she loves people, animals, sports, and eating. That coversalot of territory-- but El can do just that.
