Elaine Danenberger Academic Huntingdon Valley Pretty and sparkling Bert was active in many phases of school life and a class member we were proud to claim. Glee and Safety Clubs as well as the Lion's Roar staff were also pleased to have her on their list. E1aine's winning personality also brought her another claim to fame - the honored position of May Queen's attendant in several of our May Day programs. Her interest in swim- ming, skating, and the profession of nursing complete the picture of this versatile girl. Jean Shirley Davis Commercial Feasterville Gay, vivacious, ambitious, and always dependable--that's Jeanie who is continually laughing and full of fun. Being an active member of Safety and Glee clubs, playing varsity basketball, being our chief typist for the I..ion's Roar and the backbone of the senior treasury, having a leading role in the junior play, and taking avery active part on the business staff of the senior yearbook are only some of her chief accomplishments. Included in her 'flikes list are blue Plymouths. dating, and traveling, but we know most of those spare hours are spent letter-writ- ing and listening to good music. We don't seem to know just what is awaiting Jeanie on her graduation from L. M., but we can be sure that whatever it is. she will enjoy it, work hard at it, and always come up with a laugh and a smile. Clark Wilson Dietrick Academic Rockledge Click is the name we gave to this easy-going, ready-with-a-smile class- mate of ours. Although he might have seemed rather quiet during class recitations, outside the classroom Click was an active participant in varsity baseball, basket- ball, and all the class sports--and in dancing and dating. These last two social activities didn't interfere with his more serious ones, however, because he was our hard working, efficient Business Manager of the Elmleo and a valued member of the Hi-Y and Science Clubs. So, here's to you, Click, for a future with just the right mixture of work and play. Joan M. DiGirolamo College Preparatory Rockledge Good looks plus personality--that's our DiGee. She played varsity hockey and basketball for two years and class sports. She was a prominent member of the Typing. Safety, and Glee Clubs and also was a literary member of the year book staff. DiGee definitely likes dancing and sports while housework rates low on her list. Her pet hobby is knitting fvery skillful at it tool. To DiGee goes the honor of being L.M.ls first genuine bell ringer. We wish DiGee all the luck in her office career that a swell girl like her deserves.

Charles E. Brown Muriel Lillian Briggs C Omme I'CiH1 Huntingdon Valley Muriel is friendly, reliable, and provides many laughs for others. She served on the basketball and hockey varsity teams and participated in all class sports. Glee and Safety Clubs and being a member of the Lion's Roar were some of her other activities. Murie1's likes and interests are classical music, people, sewing. housework. and doing things for others. That's a good foundation for the happy life we hope Muriel will have. General Rockledge Our handsome Charlie will always be remembered as one of L.M.'s football heroes. The gridiron wasn't Charlie's only claim to sport fame, however, since he was always a valuable man on all the class teams as well. Charlie was alwaysa helpful and quietly useful member of class committees, especially for dances and class plays. The yearbook staff knows him as one of our best advertisement solicitors. In his future career as an automobile dealer, Charlie won't have to look for that four leaf clover. It's always been right with him. Margaret Ann Campoli Academic Bethayres At the beginning of her senior year, Peggy decided that nursing was to be her choice of profession. --So the commercial course lost a good student and the academic gained one. Peggy certainly has the personality we think a good nurse should have--the kindness, cheerfulness, and interest in others. Peggy's interests and activities were many and varied--a combination of lots of worthwhile things: a member of the business staff of the yearbook, sports writer for the Lion's Roar, varsity hockey and basketball, plus class sports. Outside of school, sewing, baking and cowboy records kept Peggy happily employed. We think the Class of 1950 was mighty lucky to have Peggy among those present? Mary Madeline Courduff Commercial Oakford HA friend in need, is a friend indeed. Mary is that friend and to everyone, no matter whether you've known her a year or just for a day. Perpetually smiling and always having a cheerful word to say, she was one of those enthusiastic followers fand cheerers--rah,J of all our sports. Of course. she just didn't stand on the sidelines either--intramural basketball and baseball are to her favor and she'll be remembered as a f'whiz at both. She was a member of our Glee Club and a very reliable worker on our Safety Patrol. Her interest in music, roller skating, and dancing, prove Mary isn't one-sidedyand besides these she even has a fancy for really fine poetry. After graduation, we hope to find her with a good secretarial job. She'll get it. if we know Mary.

Elva Louise Erler Commercial Feasterville James E. Erb General Huntingdon Valley We'll remember Jimmy especially for that happy disposition we wished we all had. He didn't lose his cheerfulness but became really serious in base- ball season when he represented L.M. on the diamond. Class sports--soccer and volley ball--were special favorites of Jimmy's too. His club selections in- cluded Safety. Science, and Hunting and Fishing Clubs. We're not sure of Jimmy's future career but we know that after hours , Jimmy will relax by listening to cowboy songs or going hunting. Elva came to L. M. from Frankford High in our junior year--and we have been glad ever since. Our class gained when this witty, fun-loving girl became a loyal L. M. rooter. Her interest in singing and her ability to control traffic offenders made her valuable to both the Safety and Glee Clubs. What are Elva's special likes? Green eyes, crew haircuts, dancing, skating, swimming--and for the serious side there is the pursuit of an advertising career. Happy persons are usually successful, so don't ever change,Elva, and you'll be both. Stella Marie Fink Academic Huntingdon Valley Stella, who has been active in all phases of school life, was known especially as our class comedian. She proved very efficient as editor-in-chief of the Lion's Roar, was a member of the literary department of the Elmleo, and played varsity basketball. Glee Club. Safety, Tri-Hi-Y and Typing Clubs plus softball intramurals kept Stella quite busy,--when she wasn't pre-occupied with long, long thoughts and her efforts to express some of them in writing, one of her really top inte rests. Anna J. Gengenbach Commercial Trevose Active Annie, our popular athletic girl, has certainly earned her title. Just observe her pep and sparkle on the hockey field or basketball floor and you will know why. She also found time to make a fine success of a leading role in the Junior Play, and to take an active part in the work of the school paper and year book. Glee Club and Shop were her chosen clubs and she especially enjoys dancing and home economics. Annie's good marks make that proposed college career seem promising. Then what, Annie,--teaching? Lucky pupils.
