Lenore Frances Ackerman r Commercial Trevose Heights Mix a sweet disposition with a friendly smile, add some dependability and we get Lee--a small conscientious blonde who will never refuse you a favor. Glee Club. Safety Patrol, L.ion's Roar staff, and serving on all our class committees didn't seemto satisfy Lee's thirst for participating in class activities, so our little worker tried her skill as a member of the business department of our Elmleo as well as being a 'Jack of all trades' when the junior and senior plays were under way. She claims her special interests are in sports and working with an amateur theater group after graduation, but when it comes to exams and getting up early, Lee says No Soap! Well, whether you're an early bird or not Lee, we still think you will fill any secretarial position in a way that will lead to a rapid climb up the ladder of success. Murieljane Adams College Preparatory Rockledge Cheerful, cute, talented. easy to get along with--that's our Janie. Besides doing a wonderful job as co-editor of Elmleo, she was also on the Lion's Roar staff. Janie is very much interested in music and dramatics, in both of which she's had much success. She was in the senior and junior plays, and also was pianist for the Choir and Glee Clubs. She was in the Typing, Safety and Public Speaking Clubs, and played on our class basketball team. Janie, like all of us, has her dislikes too which are geometry, chemistry, and arguments. After grad- uation Janie intends to meet people--and more people, ibut please don't forget usfl Lawrence H. Auerweck, Jr. Academic Oakford Friendly. smiling, sports-loving Larry can always be found, whether at home or school. playing in some game. l-le's played varsity basketball and base- ball. was manager of our football team and enjoyed all the class sports. Claire A. Beisel College Preparatory Rockledge The nursing profession will have one more reliable member in its ranks when Claire completes her training at Jefferson Hospital in the few years follow- ing her L. M. graduation. Claire's interest in science and math will stand her in good stead in her chosen work, as will her friendly quiet manner and her dry wit. In school Claire showed good class spirit by volunteering for committee work--especially refreshment committees for our many dances. She also was the capable manager of the basketball team and a worthwhile member of the Glee, Tri- Hi-Y, Typing and Safety Clubs. Fred William Belser af'- VP' Commercial Oakford Fred is one of those easy-going, good-natured fellows you just can't help liking because of that certain something which gives him that even disposition. l-lis good heartedness was shown in his active work in all class projects, as well as his membership in our Choir, Safety, Glee, and Science Clubs. Cars and traveling are what Fred thinks he likes best, but we know him to be an enthusiastic movie fan too. Fred was conscientious in most of his work but frankly admits hard work is not only tiring but boring. We think he has a point there, and he'll probably prove it in a successful career that allows plenty of time for relaxing. Lois Brandenburger Commercial Feasterville After Lo came to us from Frankford High in her junior year, she got right into the swing of things at L.M. Participation in the Glee Club and reporting scoops for the Lion's Roar were Lo's special contributions to school activities. We will always be especially glad of her contribution to our class as a cheerful. witty, and cooperative classmate - usually busy with her knitting or getting ready for dancing or bowling. Lila Kae Braun Academic Huntingdon Valley Happy-go-lucky Lila, our blond bombshell , could usually be found practicing a new cheer or attempting a new dance step--that is, when she wasn't warbling a hittune from the latest musical. Naturally she was a cheerleader and a dependable soloist for the Glee Club. The Safety Patrol valued her as a lieuten- ant, too. Of course, her ambition is beyond question--or is it? We know how much interested she is in continuing her musical career, but she hints strongly of enjoying combining marriage with a career. We heartily approve.
