F. MASON ADAMS General Huntingdon Valley, Pa. Seldom see him frowning- Always find him clowning. Dixie came to L.M. in '47 from Olney High School.Give him a pipe and a certain yellow jeepster and he's content. Dixie likes basketball, but Cahemll detests girls. He in- tends to become rich and be a hennit, but after seeing Dixie in the senior play, on the football field, and on the baseball diamond, we can't see him in the role of a hermit. JOSEPHINE AVENDER Commercial Rockledge, Pa. Pretty Jo is everyone's friend- She stays with you until the end. jo was very active in basketball, having been on the varsity team for three years. She was a member of the Safety, Glee and Shop Clubs. jo's special likes include sports and secretarial work. She was typist for the Elmleo staff and the Lion's Roar, and the 1948-A9 president of the Student Coun- cil. She was also elected as the Maid of Honor in the May court. ERIC G. BAITINGER Academic Huntingdon Valley, Pa. Eric is a conscientious lad- A better friend could ne'er be had. Eric was the efficient manager of the basketball team, and an active member of the orchestra and Typing Club. He en- joys good food and nice people, and his hobby, stamp col- lecting. Although Eric's plans for the future are not definite now, he looks forward to finding a career as he pursues his college work. MARIORIE A. BELL Commercial Feasterville, Pa. Blue eyes and golden hair l Are things that make Marjie so fair. Marjorie was one of our most quiet members of the class, but that didn't keep her from being an active, helpful class member. She played intramural basketball and softball, was chief typist for the yearbook, and a member of the art depart- ment for the Lion's Roar. Glee Club, Safety Club and Art Club were a few of her other activities. Marjorie will continue to be quietly efficient in a secretarial position.

GLADYS JOAN BIRCH Commercial Rockledge, Pa. She isn't quiet, she isn't loud, Likes to mingle with a crowd. Joan is liked by everyone, smiling and joking..She was a member of the Glee and Safety Clubs, Elmleo Staff, and the junior Play cast. joan's hobbies and special interests are reading novels, men, and making sequin jewelry. General ANTHONY J. Sparky is the ladies' man, And pleases all when'er he can. GUSTOVE ADOILPH BOEHN General Trevose, Pa. He claims that homework is his pet peeve, But he will miss it when he has to leave. Although Ace usually thought of school as one of life's necessary evils, he participated in class sports, made the varsity baseball team, and joined Hi-Y and Glee Clubs. When and if Ace joins the Navy, as he threatens, he'll be able to add to his coin and stamp collections. ROBERT CARSON Academic Langhorne, Pa. Lar e streams from little fountains How, Tall oaks from little acorns grow. If we can judge by Bob's interests and activities, we pre- dict he will be one of the scientists of the future. Cars, radios, and all things scienritic are Bob's meat . Being a member of the Science and Typing Clubs and special operator of the movie projector occupied most of Bob's leisure time. CATALDO Huntingdon Valley, Pa. All through our high school years Sparky has been one of our leaders. His being class president for three years and vice-president one, a varsity football and basketball player, a member of the senior play cast, and photography editor for the Elmleo-these are just a few of the things that have proved Spa.rky's ability. His friendly way and good humor have won him many friends. 1
