Merionife Marked by Revisions The Merionite, Lower Merion's hifweekly newspaper sponsored hy Mrs. Fowler and Mr. Henne, underwent a complete transformation. To its usual fourfpage format-two for news, one for sports. and one for feature writing-The Merionite added the Letters to the Editor and the Editors' Pick columns. The two Whcu's Whrm. feature articles honoring prominent L.M. xniors. were creatively supple' mented hy prints of a photographed face and an imaginative cartooned hody. A new hannerhead with nehhish sidekicks was introduced. In response to suggestions hy the students. The Merionite instituted a novel namefcounting policy and made a conscientious effort to include as many different stu' dents' names as possihle. The Nferionitefs provocative edi' torial policy aroused much interest with its timely and firm treatment of many highly controversial topics. An energetic and talented staff made The Merionite the true voice of an equally active and forwardflooking student hody.
