Diligenf Sfaff Produces New Yearbook Breaking a few traditions. the 19611 ENCIHIRIDMN staff with the help of Mrs. Hay and Miss Raycroft revised almost the entire hook, The general format differs only in that the faculty section has heen moved to the hack of the hook, The usual senior wction has heen changed hy enlarging the pictures and hy placing them in horizontal rows with the identifif cation directly helow each picture. There is an important improvement in the activities section in which action pictures supplant former group shots and each cluh receives its own writefup. Group shots have also heen done away with in the sophomore and junior sections. individual student pictures heing used instead, Throughout the underclassmen section snapshots have heen scattered. and the informal pictures on each douhle page of the senior section capture some of th: happenings of a school day. Mr. Bahmermann. Mr. Keim. and Mr. Gillam. together with the literary sponsors, have helped to make this Exciiiminiox an accurate record of the ycar. l'l.i-XNNIXCQ the ho--Q., editors Dick hlair a. To its usual fourfpage format-two for news, one for sports. and one for feature writing-The Merionite added the Letters to the Editor and the Editors' Pick columns. The two Whcu's Whrm. feature articles honoring prominent L.M. xniors. were creatively supple' mented hy prints of a photographed face and an imaginative cartooned hody. A new hannerhead with nehhish sidekicks was introduced. In response to suggestions hy the students.
