The eager chemists were fortunate to he working with much new equip! ment, ineluding modern gas and water outlets huilt ahove stonefcovered tahles. During the spring seventeen classes used the lahoratories. I cv' 4.4: A great success. the 1960 Carnival. held May 6. raised more than 31.000 for the foreign exchange program and other student council activities. Spirited hornerooms provided game and refreshment hooths, and the memhers of the Girls' Service League offered entertainment in their annual variety show. Ernest Scatton was the student chairman.
