Joy at the annual Christ's Home party. The STUDENT CGUNCIL, Lower Merionls demo- cratic student government, consists of representatives elected by their respective homerooms. Organization of special school activities-the Christ's Home party, dances, and the Spring Carnival-was an important function of the Council. The HGNQR SOCIETY, x Carnival chairman Lees delivers report. composed of outstanding students elected by their class- mates and faculty, sold candy at basketball games, the proceeds going to charity and payment of expenses of the spring induction. In addition to the sponsorship of the Navaho Indian School, the FUTURE TEACHERS QF AMERICA members benefited from observing local elementary classes, thus learning more about the teaching profes- sion. In keeping with its philosophy, the BUYS, HI-Y served the school and community by the raising of funds for charity through the sale of book covers and the sale of soft drinks at basketball games. The principal project of the GIRLS' HI-Y this year was the sponsor- ing of a foreign exchange student.
