FINE AND APPLIED ARTS DEPARTMENT The Fine and Applied Arts Department enhances the academic offerings of the school in both a cultural and practical manner through the addition of fine arts, music, drafting, woodworking, library services, home economics, and health and physical education. TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT Technical students were interested in the industrial arts contests sponsored by the Ford Motor Company. Eight of the projects that withstood the rigors of the Philadelphia show won gold medals for fine craftsman- ship and excellent design at the national exhibition in Dearborn, Michigan. Field trips to Westiiighotise, General Electric, Bald- win, Budd Manufacturing, and the Ford assembly plants revealed to the juniors and seniors the import- ance of Delaware Valley manufacturing to our national economy.
