Sensor Class History We the class of 52 began our Freshman year Wlth a brlght out- look on thlngs It wasn t long before we were dlslllusloned what wlth Mr Metzger to put us IH our places the sophomores taklng advantage of thelr prlvllege to 1n1t1ate us and all the other l1ttle thlngs we had to cope wlth from some of the upperclassmen After we passed the test so to speak we were accepted IH hlgh school' It was about this tlme that many of our boys had mther gone out for basketball or foot ball and many had Jolned the band We were very w1se ln selectlng our offlcers At the end of the school term we welcomed summer vaca tlon later we welcomed our second year 1n Hlgh School At last we were Sophomores Our true colors were beglnnmg to show especlally when we were able to take advantage of our 1n1t1at1ng prlvllege We felt pretty good when we we1e ordermg the freshmen to say We love the sophomores and lt w as good to hear them say It We gave a few dances whlch were enloyed lmmensely We had a p1cn1c at the end of the year at M111 Creek Park All ln all we were rather successful 1n our sophomox year In our Junlor year the senlors began thelr thlrd degree When IS the Prom? Where w1ll It be' etc We took all th1s 1n our strlde We were sort of handlcapped thls yeal because our new school bulldmg was under way wh1ch meant we would have to do wlthout a Junlor play Thls dldn t stop us from havlng a huge success ln our turkey dances that year Our class w as the flrst to haue a Homecomlng Dance for a great number of years We chose Mary R Del1s1o Homecomlng Queen and crowned her at the dance The Jun1or class would never have been able to cope w1th ex erythlng had It not been for our sponsor Mr Metzger Our class rlngs we showed to hundreds of people hun dreds of tlmes The 1un1or senlor Prom was held at the Mahonlng Country Club wlth Carole Qmlth md Ralph Contl relgnlng as queen and klng Senlorsl Senlors at last' Thls year there was a lot of work to be done but wlth a new school bu1ld1ng and all the advantages offered to us we could not help but make thls year a memorable and a most successful one We took our graduatlon plctures ordered lnvltatxons and name cards and we publlshed thls annual and we gave our play The Daffy Dllls Thxs was the year we got ready for graduatlon This was the year we saxd good bye to dear old L H S and hello to the blg Wlde complex world 0 O 1 v l 1 ' ' . . . . , ' ww 7 7 ' I , - . .
