Lorraine Lapan is their chief cook. Also in space we find Pauline LeduCo Her destination is Venus where she does her clothes shop- ping for her two sons. Space travel is so common now that we don ' t think twice about it Q The space ride is over and we are back home on Earth 0 Here at the Space Station we see a roving reporter . Could this be our own Betty Marr ? Sure enough, it is. She has been working for the Town newspaper for nearly six years now, and you ' ll never guess who owns this thriving business - Denise Roy and she is Editor-in- Chief l f) Af? i rsl Remember petite Gayle Pascal 1? His first mate Leo Langlois, who was trying to free his finger from a pencil sharpener, expressed doubt as to his captain ' s competence. Rocket scientist Roger Ferreira said there was some doubt in his mind as to his space c r raft heading toward Pluto ever returning,, Astronaut Robert St.-Laurerit went into hysterics when informed of this rather unpleasant fact... p 4 1 -a Donald Landry, supervisor of the tool and dye firm of Donald Laferriere has been interviewing Michael Pascal 1 who has been app- lying to the firm for a job for the last three years. In consider- ation of the references given by John Andrews of the Andrews Mach- ine Company where Michael Pascal 1 has been employed for the last two years, Landry will fill the job with Pascal 1. The Laferriere firm has two co-owners, Peter Golden and John Mitchell who are now vacationing in Florida with their wives. While in Florida, the couple are staying at the Bergeron Resort, the owner of the resort is a former resident of Lowell, who since has moved down South and is doing quite well. Mr. and Mrs. Golden and Mr. Mitchel ' 1 have been invited to a beach party by one of their old classmates, David Tib- betts, who for the last three years has been the President of the Machinist union. Mrs. Tibbetts, a well-known social benefiter will have some of the highest people in society at this party, which is being held to raise money for the Children ' s Polio Drive. At this party Mr. and Mrs. Bergeron will announce the grand opening of their new motel in Palm Springs. Mr. Laferriere is now patiently awaiting the return of his co-owners from their vacation so that he can take his wife to Hawaii where he will spend a couple of weeks having fun in the sun... A new electrical concern has opened in Lowell and the President of this organization is Henry Pelletier. The publicity man (the guy who does all the talkin) is Charles McCoy. The chief engineers are Devid Dupont and Ronald Senior, and the Junior engineers are, Paul Nadeau, Norbert Comtois and R-icharcf-Frechette. Mr. -Gook, the man who does the hiring and firing has just put on the payroll Bill Daly, Jim Dimsmore and Ray Rioux. By the way, Ray has recently moved from Derry to Londonderry. John Schnoer of the Wealthy Bachelors Club warned Jack Pelle- tier not to get married, telling him of all the troubles he will have. Now Louise wants a new house and to build this house Jack will have to engage Grimard and Sons for the mason work, and the Pepin roofing Company. Greeley Inc. will be the general Contractor. On top of all this Jack Jr. has arrived running up some more bills at Gower 4 s Family Drug store. Moving to his new home will have to come soonpr than he thought, but this is not much of a problem because Bevins trucking company will give him a good deal. The local newspaper will send a photographer to take pictures of this typical American family. The photographer is none other than Doug Phinney. Doug just got out of the Navy where he served under his old friend Admiral Bousquet. The day of moving has finally been set and the Pelletiers plan to have a party for all those who helped. Music will be provided by Chamber 1 ai n ' s Crooks . Ray -Shay, Vice-president of the labor union held a news con- ference today to announce that his union was successful in getting a pay raise for over a thousand laborers, Mr, Vogelsang of Vog Motors is strictly against the raise. He thinks that the workers are not putting out enough work to receive this raise. Also at this meeting Qi ck Russell and Ronnie Par lee were elected to the Board of Directors, We are sorry we can ' t report anything on the doings of George Pappas at this time. The day after we graduated Someone told George that with his intelligence, looks and person- ality he would soon rise to soaring heights. He went to Florida for another one of his vacations , and the people at Cannaveral thought he was the monkey they had lost and they stuck him in a rocket ship and he has been in orbit since then. Signed Dy : (We 1 1 1 never tell) Looking back on our final year, we remember a lot of things we are glad we did s wish we did, or some other memories we ' re not so happy about. It was a patchwork year with brilliant achi evment s , crossing not so brilliant boo-boos. There were funny times , such as the bird in Mr, Collins ' room, which we ' ll look back on and enjoy all over again. It is not for us to regret the past, but to mold the future. Now that we have been taught how, we advance onward, knowing that we have had a good beginning.
