Mgr. Warren Kennedy, Tom McCoy, Paul Ma- lone, Bob Janco, Ray Robitaille, Ron Lewis, Coach, Ed Lynch. The Basketball squads enjoyed a most successful season in 1958-59 with an over- all record of 14 wins and 6 losses. Under the tutelage of our new coach Ed Lynch, the Artisians finished second in the Eastern Mass. Vocational League, and for the first time in the history of the school participated in the Tech Tournament at Natick. Ray Robitaille was the highest schoolboy scorer in the city, and Joe Vail scored the most points in the area for one game (39). Bill Sawyer was the only senior on the squad and will be sorely missed next year. The Jayvee squad gave evidence of much promise for the future. Once again, our cheerleaders were, with- out question, the most active in the area, and a real source of inspiration to the teams. ) ' o n e ”in e 0 eon p° r ? S goi fi e , p i e,f s ? (Co-Capt.) , Bob Espinola, Jerry Vail, Coach, Joe Polak. The varsity finished up a respect- able, but brief season, with an overall record of 6 wins and 4 losses, and in a two way tie with Lynn for first place in the league. Outstanding seniors on the team were Co-capts. Larry Dziegiel and Bob Guthrie. Larry finished up a brilliant four year record at Trade High with a batting average of .386, while Bob, the workhorse of the team as catcher, had a .315 average. Both will be sorely missed next year as Choo-choo and Bob were valued team men. GOLF SQUAD: front: John Ferreira, Al Al Savoie, Bill Hogan, Ralph Shea Perry, Mike McTeague, rear: Coach Ray ( C a pt. ) , Coach Ray Walsh. Lavoie, George Zantuhos, Bob Russell, In this, their first year of interschol- astic golf match play, the team displayed remarkable spirit and stick-to-it-tiveness while competing with some of the best squads in the area. Lowell High, Keith, Bedford, and Andover were met on a home basis, and our lads more than held their own. Capt. Ralph Shea was the team medalist, but Coaches Walsh and Lavoie have a veteran squad to work with next year. man ■V V.K e%e 7 e%e %en.e 7 ete If f ¥ f ♦ TTJTTTTh i f f t f f 1 ► f f f f fi f « 4.fl (ft ttttrft I rfl . ? ; HI lT b • I ♦ fi ♦ « ' 1 vf M i t f ■ tit fit til ■ Ifittml FOR 123 YEARS THE SHOPPING CENTER OF MERRIMACK VALLEY TOWERS MOTOR PARTS CORP. 80 CHURCH STREET LOWELL, MASS.
