When I walk down the street, I keep my eyes on the ground in hopes of finding money. I get an allowance but this is gone by Mon- day morning. Now l've seen a keen yo-yo l'd just love to have, so you can see how desperately I need the money. I need help, but please don't say get a job. In the first half both teams threatened several times but no score was posted. Following the game Tiny Sheehan was chosen outstand- ing player of the day and received the Mike Rynne trophy. E9 Jack Machado received the game ball for another one of his outstanding performances on offense and defense. Our team is to be congrat pat for the backs and many linemen! BASKETBALL Due to the keen compet ulated on its good showing, a more for the hard plugging ition in the Greater Boston League this season, Lowell Hoopsters have had trouble equal- ing last yearis outstanding record of 9-9. The boys did, how- ever, have an unbeatable day w hen they topped Quincy 7-S, with Captain George Tzanatakas coming through with 27 points, an individual high score for the season to date. Tzang lead his team like a master as well as assisting them in play. Ted Turcotte, normally used to set up plays, took to scoring and provided 17 points. TRACK Lowell High's track team got off to a slow start in the 1960 campaign losing to St. john's Prep, and Salem High, last year's state champs and the NSI. champs respectively.
