Stage Management Beginning with the '72 musical, The. Boy- friend, Lowell's policy for seating the audience has been transformed from a first-come-better seat basis to a first-buy-better-seat basis. Except for yearly music concerts, Mr. Don bri1lhart's Theater Management students sold re- served tickets for practically every performance. Sitting in the Box Office and putting big X's on seating charts weren't all they did. They also ushered fequipped with flashlighisj and took care of the publicity. These volunteers certainly fulfilled the ori- ginal purpose for such a group: to take part of the responsibility' from the teachers busy with putting together the productions and give them more extra time instead. Joe Tanzi, Paul Zahtilla, Tom Collins, Jim Wagner. Johnny Land, Don Brillhart NOON CONCERTS Great talents drifting by unnoticed stimulated Mrs. Stella Michaelian to set up noon concerts, where both performers and aucience attend on a voluntary basis. Entertainers range from violin solos to quartets and even larger groups. ,After practicing on their own, the performers only need to notify Mrs. Micha aelian and they are halfway on the stage. Teachers may give their classes an opportunity to perform. An alumni concert and a faculty performance in May also fill the auditorium with the pleasant won- ders of music. 10 Under the command of their able captain, Mr. I im Wagner, the stagecraft crew steered their way through numberous performances of the orches- tra, band, choir and drama groups. The course provides an overall view of thea- trics with emphasis on the mechanical outlook naturally. Armed with a shipful of talents and skill these behind-the-scene students helped to make the past year's productions successes as much as the aftual on-the-scene performers. As a result of their close cooperation with the other performing departments, the stagecraft members were able to experience every facet of the theater. 4 1 V , If .
