Serving as vice president was Carol Karstensen. Yvonne Grossi kept up the correspondence and other secretarial matters. The person in charge of collecting Lowell's 100 percent student body dues was capable Hall Woo. From the rally platform the spirited Lowell E-rah could be heard with head cheer leader Don Bull directing. Elyce Edelman the editor of San Francisco's oldest high school paper The Lowell and her excellent staff put out a paper that kept our students and faculty well-informed. Gordon Callaway, president of the Scroll during fall '54, was elected president. He was also low junior class president and football captain. Sandra Johnston, who was low junior class secretary, was elected to the highest office a Lowell girl can achieve, that of vice president. Others selected to help Gordon and Sandy were Roger Ryman, treasurer, and Nancy Sawyer, secretary. Rog, besides being a s-tar football player, was low senior class president and Nancy was low senior veep. Marshall Kreuter, another football star, was elected editor of The Lowell. and Sue Braag, editor of the Red and ll l9ile. Bill Werxmer, former assistant yell leader, moved up to head yell leader with Ken Kahn and Mike Byrne as his assistants. And rounding our the rule, Sally Mierson became girls head yell leader with Van Utt as her assistant.
