Just lookin' for clues - Richard Scheibner Hercules and Wilber exchanging debts before death - R. Scheibner, A. Brown,'R. Schroeder 7mm Hercules Nelson and his bosom pal, Wilbur Maxwell, come to spend the week end with Hercules' aunt and uncle. Hercules knows his uncle has taken a new job, but he doesn't know until too late that his uncle is a mortician. The boys are terrified, and decide to head for home, when another guest appears. The guest is jason Quigley, who ran out of gas, and the funeral is to be held Monday. Wilbur spots Celeste, Hercules' cousin, and decides to stay. Mr. Quigley turns out to be quite alive. He thinks someone tried to do away with him, so a plan is evolved: He'd make his family think he was dead, then show up at his own funeral and trap the guilty party. Herc's for leaving, until he sees Nina, the deceased's granddaughter, and he decides to stay. No doubt Mr. Quigley's plan was good, but when Wilbur and Hercules set out no solve the case, 'matters go from worse to terrible. Hercules tips off Nina that her grandpop's alive and Uncle Bob, being impli- cated, is mistakenly carted off to the klink. The boys finally come face to face with the culprit, after first getting everyone out of the house who could help them, and finally es- cape with their necks, -but not before one of the wildest finishes ever.
