Dinner Guest Creates Chores An uproarious comedy, centering around Sheridan VVhiteside, an industrious radio announcer, set the mood for Lowell's winter play, The Man Who Came To Dinnerf The setting was the Stanley's charming home in Messalia, where Mr. VVhiteside arrived for dinner and became their very imwelcome houseguest for three weeks. The play opened when Whiteside was met by a piece of ice on the doorstep. He Slipped and proceeded to break his hip. Af- ter eing bed-ridden, he emerged and was greeted by his admirers. Sheridan then started his insults and informed the Stanleys he was suing them for 315,000 Their egotistical intruder continued to dismpt the Stanley family for the entire two weeks before Christmas. Topping it off on Christmas Eve, Whiteside advised the Stanley's daughter, june, to elopeg and their son, Richard, to go off on a phote tak- ing adventure. Mr. Stanley finally suc- ceeded in kicking him out of the house on Christmas Day, but once again ht 'lipped and fell on the piece of ice. Diligently working behind the scencz the malcc-up crew succeeded in turning high -rc-liinii atizclvuuige. into convincing iiii.1.!1,4..5, .V ' - fv-molr-te with gray liznr :rim - ' f' Q1 'lwfmw t'f'1'X-. :si iurfiif fi In F i prfiifz :uni '.'-fi:rl1lnigy air' fight mic. lin,-'wfJllI'1d cues.
