SENIOR We. the members of the Senior Class of 1965 of Lovington High School, being of good health and sound and disposing mind and memory, and believing in the certainty of our soon departure from the aforesaid school, do hereby make and declare this instrument of writing to be our last will and testament as seniors and students of dear ole L.H.S. 1. Terry Bailey, leave Tony Franklin the ability to hold his head high while driving his Ford. I, Lynn Blankenship, leave my ability to sleep in study hall to anyone who can get away with it. I. Bev. Bolsen, leave my pure-bred-hybrid-corn-shuck-bouquet to the next Miss Sadie Hawkins and all the fun I have had at L.H.S. to anyone who wants it. I. Steve Bowers, leave my place in the band to Craig Fleenex and 1 hope he will enjoy it as much as I did. I, David Breedlove, leave my 57 Ford to any Chevrolet drivers, so that they may know the joy of trouble-free driving. I also leave a 500 gallon drum of motor oil . . . just in case. I, Judy Clark, leave my ability to take the Van Gundy curves at 105 M.P.H. to Sharon Montgomery. I, Randall Cook, leave and take nothing with me because everything I desire is ahead of me. I. Gary Coon, leave my breakaway ability in football to Tony Franklin. I, Rodger Coventry, leave my Hurst swifter shifter gloves to Roy Buxton for his 4-speed Honda. 1, Jim Curry, leave my squirt bottle to Iris Hoffman so that she can have fun next year. 1. Guy Elder, leave my ability with girls to Leonard Frost and hope he can overcome his timidness. I, Tilden L. Fleener, leave my roving candid camera to Charles Lewis so he can photo- graph love-birds on the class trip. I, Bridget Gaddis, leave to Elaine Preston my ratted hair in hope that will carry on my good work in keeping Mrs. Thomas happy for the rest of her school days. I, Majorie Gillenwater, leave my nicknames - Donuts, Annabelle, Maggie, Mag-Pie, Junior, Johnny Rebel, ” and others to anyone who can handle them. I, Darrell Gilmore, leave my ability to get along with Mr. Anderson during shop class to Tony Franklin. I. Kenny Gilmore, leave my collection of used transmissions to Tony Franklin. 1, Nancy Gravens, leave my ability to reach the basketball rim to Patty Broutin and also my tennis shoes to whoever thinks they are big enough to fill them. I, Larry Hale, leave my troubles with my Olds to Mark Albert, lots of luck. I. Bill Harminson, leave Mr. Anderson a board of education for his shop students, to keep them busy. I, Linda Harris, leave my knowledge of history to Marion Long. 1, Larry Hissong, leave my ability to sleep in class to Ronnie Heiserman, who I hear, keeps very late hours around certain towns. 1, Henry Hubbard, leave to the distinguished Mr. Zancha my attendance record. I, Shirley Linville, leave my moccasins to Mary Lou Mardis so as not to disturb anyor ; in study hall. I, Kenny Long, leave my quiet ways in law class to all of next years students who take that course so Mr. Bell will have some peace. I, Charles Miller, leave my running ability to John Bailey, I hear he needs it. 1, Harold Montgomery, leave my ways with girls to Leonard Frost. I, Gary Ozier, leave my ability to dodge Amish buggies to Alan Elliott and hope he has as good a luck as I have had. I, Mike Powell, leave my nickname Fuzzy to Steve Kirkwood, and 1 hope he wears it proudly. I, Terry Shaw, leave my ability to get A to anyone who wants to work for it. 1, Twilla Simmons, leave my nickname Turtle and other versions of it to Loretta Cook to slow her down in P.E. class. 28

WILL I, Joyce Stinson, leave my ability to wait until their senior year to start dating to anyone who can wait that long. I, David Trainor, leave my nickname Wavy to Bob Brock and all my solos in chorus to Larry Haws. I, Danny Watkins, leave Mr. Anderson with the hopes that next years 8th hour shop boys won't ask so many questions. I, Mike Wilson, leave all the school problems to Don Morgan and I hope that he can solve them. I, Gail Witt, leave my tears of joy and happiness to the future Homecoming queen. I, Money Yokley, leave my unusual name to anyone who desires it. 1, Charles Kinkade, being of sound body and unstable mind do hereby leave to Lovington High School and all surrounding areas one partially used tube of Brylcream. (You are in great need of girls around here.) It is our desire to bequeath to the faculty and staff of Lovington High School the following: To Mr. Best we leave a patrolman's uniform and cap to go along with his hall patroling equipment brought to him from the Senior Trip. To Mr. Zancha we leave a Mr. Machine Robot to save him from taking daily attendance during assembly. To Mrs. Roney we leave a spare key and rubber band to start her VW in case of an emer- gency. To Mr. Jarvis we leave 5 boys, each 6 feet 5, for his basketball team to capture the con- ference title. To Miss Bell we leave a bottle of nerve pills to calm her during the chaperoning of any future Senior Trips. To Mr. Allen we leave a drawer full of puzzles to occupy him and his math classes. To Mrs. Eskridge we leave a voice like Mr. Peadro's so she won't have to say everything twice in assembly. To Mr. Bell we leave a co-ordinated typing class so all the bells ring at the same time. To Mr. and Mrs. Thomas we leave a sack full of second place awards for the next Home- coming. To Mrs. Stephenson we leave a gold-plated dictionary so she can check on that. To Mr. Byrkit we leave a bottle of Windex to clean his contact lenses. To Mr. Peadro we leave 5 boy cheerleaders. To Mrs. McDonald we leave lots of luck in teaching senior English next year. To Mr. Anderson we leave a grease gun to keep his pitching machine in good running order. To Mrs. Bailey we leave the knowledge that most of her first 7th grade class here is grad- uating. To Mrs. Kitchen we leave because she is probably glad to get rid of us. To the three student teachers we leave wishing them the best of luck in their future of teaching. To Mrs. Fleming we leave an automatic lunch ticket dispenser so she won't be so tired on Monday mornings. To Mrs. Dickson, Mrs. Wilhite, and Mrs. Brooks we leave a little advice--Put jelly on the peanutbutter sandwiches. To Mr. Brown and Mr. Gravens we leave two French maids to help them do their dusting. To the Class of '66' we leave a little bit of joy because the place is going to be pretty dull without us. To the Class of '67' we leave you with two more years. To the Class of '68' which has three more years to go we leave you with these words of ad- vice-- Relax, have a pickle!
