JOKES He knocked at the door of my room. May I come in? It’s the room I had when I went to college in ’09” he said. I invited him in. Yes sir,” he said, Same old room. Same old windows. Same old view of the campus. Same old closet.” He opened the door and there a girl stood terrified. This is my sister,” I said. Yes sir, same old story.” Palmer: So you asked Frances to marry you?” John Roberts: Yes, but she refused me.” Palmer: Did you tell her about your rich uncle?” J. R.: Yes I told her, she is my aunt now.” Miss Walker: Do you believe in clubs for women.” Mr. Dumville: Yes if kind words fail.” Miss Roberts: Arlene, get off that young man’s knee!” Arlene: Like heck I will, I got here first.” It was a moonlight night on a lonely road, suddenly the car stopped. Forrest Anne: Now, if you’re going to pull that one about out of gas . . . Robert: No, we aren’t out of gas and we don’t have a flat tire.” F. A.: So you have an original excuse.” Robert: No, I stopped because I want to pitch woo.” F. A.: Ohhhh! ! That’s different, why didn’t you say so, Ummmmmmmmm.” Mrs. Bailey: Charles spell straight.” Charles: S-t-r-a-i-g-h-t.” Mrs. B.: All right, what does it mean?” Chas.: Without water or soda.” Hugh Turner: Since I met you, I can’t eat, I can’t sleep, I can’t drink.” Maxine B.: Why not.” Hugh T.: I’m broke.” Miss Roberts: Now children, every morning you must take a cold bath, and that will make you feel rosy all over. Are there any questions?” Dickie: Yeah, teacher, tell us more about Rosie.” Intern in an insane asylum, walked up to a bed of one of the patients and asked: But who told you you were Napoleon? ? ? ?” Patient: God did.” I did not,” came a reply from the next bed.
