ELL v i saw: the joyous unwinding of our unquestionable future, the growth of our friends, born with the burst of the sun and sprinkled with the stars' brilliance, the unfolding of the many memories of our struggle to maturity . heard: the wild roar of the student body during a pep rally crashing against the 0001 cement walls like the sea's lashing waves, the pleasant patter of echoing footsteps through the empty halls like lonely raindrops, the dancing laughter of friends' voices while our awkward moments pas sed . tasted: the sweet flavor of Victory as well as the bitter experience of defeat, the hot crispness of popcorn during the excitement of a football game, the creamy sweetness of our teachers' understanding . smelled: the woodsy odor of dying embers after our last homecoming bonfire, the warm breath of the coming spring, our future, the acrid odor of scorched Chemicals from the sunny lab . felt: the drowsy warmth of security and understanding among our classmates, the rasping touch of the knowledge that our efforts to attain learning sometimes failed, the shriveling of hatred and ignorance, the tenseness of the myriad during the draining ordeal of exams . knew: the intimate joy of friends, the enveloping of our development by the security of knowledge, the first discoveries of the infinite wonders of God's kingdom.
