In 1881 the first graduation was held at Loveland High School . There was one member in that class, Evelyn Hawley. To her goes the distinction of being the first graduate of Loveland High. School. That was. seventy five years ago. In 1888 and 1889, there were no graduates since two more years were added to the previous two year course to make a four year course required for graduation. Now, seventy five years later, forty six graduates received their diplomas. They are quite proud to be alumni of Loveland High School. They are equally proud to dedicate this book to all post graduates. Many new features have been added to the school since that day long ago when the first graduate ref ceived her diploma. This year came another event of which the Class of '56 is more than proud. A new school is being built. They could not feature the new building, but years later when they and all others look at this annual they will be able to see the beginning of the new building. Since all past graduates and others made this great event possible, the Class oF 56 again takes pleasure in saying its appreciatior by dedicating this annual to them.
