Lovelund High School Loveland, Ohio The Senior Class of 1956takes great pleasure in dedicating this annual to all post graduates with the hope that it will bring back fond memories of the happy times each and everyone of them had at Love- land High School . :, '1MF'I In 1881 the first graduation was held at Loveland High School . There was one member in that class, Evelyn Hawley. To her goes the distinction of being the first graduate of Loveland High. School. That was. seventy five years ago. In 1888 and 1889, there were no graduates since two more years were added to the previous two year course to make a four year course required for graduation. Now, seventy five years later, forty six graduates received their diplomas. They are quite proud to be alumni of Loveland High School. They are equally proud to dedicate this book to all post graduates. Many new features have been added to the school since that day long ago when the first graduate ref ceived her diploma. This year came another event of which the Class of '56 is more than proud. A new school is being built. They could not feature the new building, but years later when they and all others look at this annual they will be able to see the beginning of the new building. Since all past graduates and others made this great event possible, the Class oF 56 again takes pleasure in saying its appreciatior by dedicating this annual to them. From the begin- ning to the end, it moved fast and furiously. Hardly had one performance ended and another one started. The cast kept the audience on their toes from the beginning to the end. Many thanks are due to Mr. and Mrs. Goosman For their direction of the musical numbers and to Mrs . Kelly for her direction of the skits. Smith Harriett Siekman, Kurt von Starch Secrets Of The Sea Without a doubt the Junior-Senior Prom of '56 was one of the most successful dances held at Love- land High in many years. Mrs. Goosmcm directed several dances which included the Hokey Pokey, Boom-de-a, and the Bunny Hopa This produced much lively activity wh i c h prevailed th rou g hout the evening. ' After the grand march, Bob Armstrong crowned Diana Palmer queen and Kenny Harper king. He also recognized the queen's attendants Bettie Miller and Zellu Whitaker. Music was furnished by Smittiets Band and during the intermissions, Rudy's Rhythm Rollers filled in for them. A buffet dinner of sandwiches, cake, potato chips, and punch was served by some of the mothers of the iuniors. Secrets of the Sea was the theme and the gym was decorated as c: ship with an upper deck on the stage and the lower deck as the dance floor.
