FOOTBALL With the exception of two or three boys this year's football team had very little exper- ience, while most of the county schools had several of their stars back from last year. Contrary to popular opinion, the boys maintained their pep and spirit through- out the season. ln fact, as the season prog- ressed more and more young boys came out who really were interested in a future team. lt is hoped that this attitude will remain. None of the boys will be lost by graduation. So it no one drops out of school the squad should begin next year Where it left off last fall and that should, indeed, be very encouraging. Although no games were won this year, many of them were close, and all of them were lost because of two reasons: 1. Lack of experience and 2. Lack of reserve power. Both of these deficiencies should be pretty well taken care of for next year. ir if Paqe 24 There is on point that should be discuss- ed here. Usually, only enough boys turn out who think they can make the team. That, of course, is erroneous thinking. How does a person know before he comes out for a sport Whether or not he will like the sport or make the team? To have a winning team Loveland High boys must turn out thirty strong and must be in excellent physical condition, which means training throughout the whole year. To attain this goal, every boy and girl in school, all the parents and teachers must help. Everyone must do something about it. The schedule and results of games were: Loveland. .... .16 Sharonville 27 Loveland 20 Anderson .. 28 Loveland . . 19 Plainville 45 Loveland .. 36 Terrace Park .. 42 Loveland . 21 Deer Park 38 Loveland ..
