THE SENIOR STORY In September mneteen hundred and thrrty erght frfty two bewrldered boys and grrls entered Loveland Hrgh as Freshmen We were welcomed to our home room whrch was the large study hall downstalrs by Mlss Temphn and Mr Banta our home room teachers At our frrst meetmg of the year Roger Vreth was elected Presxdent lames Ramsey Vrce Pres1dent Dorothy Gar rrson Secretary and Walter McLean Treas urer At the close of the thrrd week of school the upper classmen gave us our m1t1at1on whrch made us feel as though we were full fledged members then and we had much fun ln plannlng a return party rn November The followrng September we aga1n re turned to the same burlclmg but th1s tlme we our fun teasmg the Freshmen and gettmg them lost 1n the halls Our ofhcers elected for the Sophomore year were Arnold Wrl hams Presrdent Rrchard Bennett VICE Pres rdent Dorothy Garrrson Secretary and Wal ter McLean Treasurer Th1S year a new or ganrzahon was formed the Student Councll Each class was permttted to have represen tat1ves accordrng to the number of members 1n the class Our Student Councrl Ftepresenta tat1ves were Lors Rauch Iames Ramsey and Walter McLean We were honored by the opportunrty to rmtrate the Freshmen Our Iunror year was of very great 1m portance Frrst of all the class OHICGIS were W1lma W'1lson Presldent M1ldred Gorsuch Vlce Presrdent Dons Harcourt Secretary Arnold Wrlltams Treasurer and Walter Mc Lean and Norrrs Curry Student Councrl Rep resentatrves We had many good athletes band and orchestra members and we were also proud of our partrcfpants 1n scholastlc contests Our class showed great coopera t1on rn preparlng for a lun1orSen1or Prom rnce we had the great handrcap of havlng no gymnaslum but we succeeded by QIVIHQ one that the Senlors classrfred as the best ever If Page 12 Our Senror year o soon' lt seems as though we were only freshmen last week Th1S year was a tnrrll for we were enterrng a new school y af rn a new burldrng Our class otfrcers were 'Walter McLean Presrdent lean Vfrllrams Vrce Dresldent melrta Me-ref Secretary rxey rn Treasurer Walter Mclean Edward Bredtng er and Dons T-larcourt Student f'ounc1l Rep resentatlves Many of our class took part rn the dedr catron of our new chool burlorng for we were honored to be attendmg thrs school A thnll came when we were measured for our caps and gowns because rt wouldnt be long untrl we would be wearrng them Vlfe are raprdly approachrng the trme when our actrve connectron wrth L H S wrll cease We are now lookrng forward to the lun1orSen1or Prom and the festrvrtres con nected wrth graduatron We are honored tc be the frrst Senror Class to graduate from the nrng to beautrfy our graduatlon by a candle lrght servrce W'e look back vwth fond memor1es and sad hearts as now our school days here arc over Some of us wrll go on to college where as others of us wrll try our hands t the bust ness world Wherever we are we the Senror Class of 1911? wrll always remember the good old days at Loveland Hrgh School 3'- -4- SHARLOTTE BORDERS lnrr mmf: x s lrlfe the sky Q nd toe ' ' , s .
