Members of the A-squad baseball team are, row two, left to right: Rich Seastedt, manager, John Hotaling, Ron Smith, Ken Schroetlin, Gary Fentiman, Neal Buckner, John Ramirez, Gary Disney and Ken Harden, manager. Row one: Coach Ken Swedland, Orlyn Bell, Bruce Wadrnan, Don Carlson, John May, Tony Ramirez, LeRoy Shew, Arlan Mas- sey and Coach Don Constantz. Highlight of the 1963 Indian baseball season was John May pitching the first shut-out of the year and possibly in LHS baseball history as the Tribe allowed no runs on two hits against Fort Morgan, 6-0. Gary Disney and May pitched a no-hitter against the Sterling Tigers, with the Indians winning by a score of 6-3. At the time of publication, the conference showed Loveland winning two and losing three. During pre-confer- ence games the Indian nine won four, lost two and tied one. The A squad was coached by a dedicated man, Mr. Don Constantz. Coaching the Bteam was Mr. Maynard Reigel. Helping the varsity in the pitching department was student Ken Swedland from CSU. Those lettering were: Orlyn Bell, Don Carlson, Arlan Massey, John May, Tony Ramirez, seniors, LeRoy Shew and Bruce Wadman, juniors, Wayne Bromley, Neal Buckner, Gary Disney, Gary Fentiman, John Hotaling, Ken Schroetlin, and Ron Smithg and sophomore John Ramirez. Managers were Ken Harden and Rich Seastedt. 140 NORCO BUILDERS, S John May is too late with the tag as the Sterling player is called safe at the plate. -ws!!
