Row one: Sandy Moss, Alberta Bethel and Alan Propp. LHS Student Council to undertake and promote necessary or desired projects, to help direct the school toward goals which the students wish to attain, and to assist the fac- ulty in governing the school smoothly and efficiently. The council projects for the year included a kick off breakfast for Homecoming, the Homecoming dance, National assemblies, festive Christmas decorations in the halls, revision of the entire lndian hand book, and strong support for charity drives. The council netted S600 for the March of Dimes Drive. The members of the council took active part in both the Northern Conference and State Student Councils. ln the Conference Student Council the sportsmanship award was instigated for the first year. On the lighter side of life the council sponsored a three weeks' twirp season. Sponsors for the council were Mrs. Oscar Tindall and H. O. Hovde. Parliamentarians were Linda joseph- son and Steve Farnham. Freshmen members are, row two, left to right lennie Scoles, ludy May, Pat Bernhardt and Mary Walter. lilos C6056
