Coach Nlyron Glass, ' HARRIERS LOG HUNDREDS OF-MlLES T e Crossfcountry' is a. tough sport. Those who train seriously for it'run, hundreds of miles during the -seasong some are miles of pain, some miles of pleasure, some a mixlzure of1both. - Most of the 1973 Lourdes harriers knew this before the season began. Theyhad miles' of experience behind them. They knew about the setbacks and satisfactions of running, but thellnewcomers, soon found .many dreams unattainableg Under first year Coach Myron Glassthe Eagles- finished 19th at the St. Olaf Invitational. It was a rebuilding y-ear forthe Eagles. With prom- ising newcomers like Dan Liberlco,' Chris lVIiIler and Pa'ul,,Klauda.the Eagles ,stand sa good chance of 'a better:fha'n average team next year. Veteran juniors Pete Gathje and Kevin Kelly will be the nucleus. , H 1973 co-captains Paul Theobald and T om' Taylor, along with veterans John' Byrne and Den Miller can only -look 'back and remember the miles-- pleasurable and painful. l , ' Tom Nobrega CROSS COUNTRY TEAIVL- ROW ONE.: Paul Theobald TWO: Shaun Palmer, Nlike Barnes, Steve Otto, Dan Liberko, Paulf Klauda THREE: Brian Harrison, Kevin Kelly, Pete Gathje, Dave Wood, Brent Hanf, Chris Miller FOUR: Dan lVliller, John Byrne, ,Tom'Taylor, Tom Lance, Tom Nliller FIVE: Torn Wente, Tim Aney .
