Did Gary White just throw the shot put, or is he getting ready to run from one? He flies through the air with the greatest of ease . . Keith White clears another hurdle in his struggle to reach the state meet. With a gleam in his eye, he's on his way! Nonchalantly, Ed Stukcnholtz strolls on to win still another 7th place - but he didn't get a medal. Left: Keith White stretches for an ex- tra inch in the long jump competition. Right: Jim Welter shows his style of discus throwing. He does have a good point! Everyone seems enthused waiting for Joe Heng to come out of the starting blocks. Will he ever make it? Left: Kevin Rettig and John Schrciter push on in the two-Milc run. They sure do look tired! The boys track team is sure to be super strong next year. Right: Gary Durr must have met some- thing along the lane - he certainly doesn’t look too happy! Barb O'Neill and Donna Davis work oul for track. Who is Barb thinking about??? QMC’S ZKACK Joanic Moyer seems to be hav- ing some trouble getting her foot out of the blocks. Look at all the power Robin uses when she throws the shot. And who says girls don't have style? Look at the shocked look on Vickie's face. Of course, wouldn’t you look shocked if you'd just lost your right leg in a race. But we Know that Vickie is tough, one of the best around. These are the “curb warmers. Ju- lie is trying to tell Mary Ann and Pam her problems, but they don't seem to be interested. Mary Ann Moyer lets her fingers do the walking as she completes a lap. Will they finish before she docs? With pigtails flying in the breeze - Vickie Francois speeds along the track. What words of wisdom is Mrs. Licsemcyer giving her girls? “OK - stretch 1-2, and be sure to watch that girl in the inside lane. Pam Wclniak has got the rest of the pack bcat-they're puffing and she seems to be strolling. Julie is all alone in her leg of the relay. Julie is probably so far ahead that she should take a break! The streets around school were used for practice when the track members worked out. Left - Pam Wclniak and Keith White sprint down the last few yards. I wonder what Keith is saying to Pam??? Each has played their part, for when we have numbers, we have strength, and we can endure life’s hardships. We have been together for years and this step in our life has raised us higher and prepared us for the future. We can be proud and stand tall for we shall overcome the obstacles ahead of us. We believe in ourselves as we believe in God. God is smiling on us and we can joyfully smile back and say “thanks .
