The 9quad was one of the largest in school history and gave a fine account of itself in the nine game schedule. With many returning lettermen and starters returning, the future looks bright. Coach Arnold The Red Raider Basketball team of 1971 compiled a season of 21 wins and 5 losses. Among the honors were four trophies and a trip to the State Basketball Tournament in Lincoln bringing a first round victory over Grant and a final lose to the King of Class C, Pawnee City.
