Here we have the Merry Madcaps, bringing to you hot news about the inside of The Sophomore Hour. Although among the newer artists that have come to our station, they have set the pace in many things. Early in the spring of 1936 a broadcasting system was set up on the gym floor and they held an Amateur Hour at which was presented some of the best talent of these Merry Madcaps. This year they set the precedent by having the first model dance. In a beautifully decorated auditor- ium, the Merry Madcaps and the teachers were brought together for an evening of fun and frolic. 'Many of these Merry Madcaps have been seen on the athletic teams, liter- ary teams, and in various other activities. Historian Fritz just tells me that 180 of these jolly good fellows signed a contract with us in September 19353 but I am sorry to say that only 166 of them are now left.
