HIGH SCHOOL RECORD. 1 The Sweet Girl Graduate HEDMC Hawrzr: 15M Our llttle gxrl graduated tomght Tom dear graduated valedrctorran of her class Tom Tom she had not told me and how proud and happy I Was' I wrsh you could have been wrth us tomght but I know that vou have seen all from your far off heavenly home and perhaps 1f you had hved th1s wonderful thmg would never have happened You remember how the l1ttle grrl used to hate anythlng that looked hke a book and would run awax from her governess and not come back unt1l evemng' She rs not hke that now I am almost glad that she had to go to a publ1c school for she was becommg very selfish and knew nothmg of the dlfferent classes of people and Tom though 1t seems wrong to say It of our dear l1ttle daughter she was becommg qu1te a snob' It was hard on her I know to have httle or no attentron pa1d to her when formerly she had had rt all It was good for her however and 1t was also good for her to go from our beaut1fu1 home to the lrttle cottage on the outskrrts of the c1tV It was better yet to separate her true frrends from the others There were not many true ones after the test was made but there are now Tom She has made all her class mates love her and because they love and beheve rn her they have made her thelr Presrdent Oh' Tom how can I help bcmff happy ' If x ou were only here everythlng would be perfect T h1s last month has been a sore tual to our 1rl busrness has been poor for qulte awhrle and I had mtended makmg her graduatxon frock about a month before the great event Others had been puttmg rt off too as I found when one ex emng two of her classmates came m and asked me to make thelr dresses We needed the money badly and I welcomed the opportumtv to make them They were wonderful gowns Such matenal as I rn former tunes had planned for our httle g1rl Now she was to hax e only a srmple wh1te dress whrch she could make use of th1s summer I my self envled those gmrls the1r govs ns but d1d our daughter?
