Galli Curci, Myra Hess, and the much admired Mrs. Edward McDowell. Mine. Josephine Lucchesi, Soprano. San Carlo Opera First Chapter Honorary Sigma Nu Chaptei 1 o furnish seclusion and quiet for artists in their creative work, S. A. I. has a cottage in the McDowell colony at Petersborough, N. H. A biennial prize is offered at each Convention of the National Federation of Music Clubs for the best sacred anthem by an Amer¬ ican composer. Other scholarships and honors are also offered. An Endowment Fund for the aiding of students in the development of music in America has been created. Sigma Nu Chapter is the first Southern Chapter established.
